  • GDD: Want to see more images / concept art of what you had planned for the game mechanics. Glad to see an finished timeline. Game: I tried to play it, but I felt like the art is simplified too much. The game doesnt give good player experience on PC if it is meant to use touchscreen mechanic for multi-holding multiple nodes.
  • Interesting idea! Hard to understand the main objective at first blush. Would definitely improve the explanation/tutorial. Seems like it could be a fun puzzley kind of game!

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
Play in fullscreen for a better experience :)

I chose to create a click/touch game where the player needs to prevent the nodes from spreading poison clouds, the player will need to survive until the time ends, if the node reaches its goal the player loses a heart.
This prototype has 3 levels with different difficulties, the last is really harder than it is supposed to be in the final game, but since this is a prototype I would like to provide the real sensation and experience to lose a level without just waiting the time to end. (Really hard, but still possible)
My idea for the final game is to have multiple levels dynamically generated, levels in different perspectives, powerups to make each level more unique and some graphics refactory.

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Extra Notes
It's my first game jam, first game at all, so I defined to use single art/forms without animations, to stay focused more in the code and engine utilities.
Thank you for all your efforts organizing this Game Jam.

Cool game! I think the transitions between menus are a little slow, but other than that, it was a lot of fun.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback, I will definitely work more in the performance part xD

This game really captures the feeling of "spreading" very well! I like being able to freeze nodes, there is the potential for a very cool visual experience. The game page says it is casual and relaxing... but I personally felt more worried and anxious haha

Developer

Thank you for your review! I will definitely work on it more to make a final game, relaxing game, like it is now 🤣🤣

I cannot stress enough how much anxiety i got the second i let the spread get away from me. I was not expecting it to multiply quite so fast! I agree with the previous comments about some of the unclear mechanics, but overall a very competant game that could definitely be fleshed out into a good reaction testing mobile game with a bit of added juice.

Developer

I will try to create a final version of this prototype and certainly will work to make it more clean to play, thank you so much for your feedback ♥

I think there is an interesting idea here. It would work much better on mobile than playing it with my laptop trackpad like I did. I think it'd be nice if the hearts were more prominent on screen and there was an animation or sound to clearly indicate that you've lost a heart. It wasn't clear to me that the tree splitting caused me to lose a heart until I read your description on this page, so while I was playing whether I won or lost just seemed random.

Hey, thank you so much for your review, I will work on the hearts situation and probably create an App to mobile too, its cool to play on browser, but an App is always cooler xD

Interesting concept, id say good on touch screens, good kid dexterity and timing...nice one.

Developer

Thank you so much for the comment, it is already adapted to play on mobile browser but an App certantly will be in the roadmap 😆
