- This is a hard one, because the concept is brilliant, and once you figure out how to play it immediately becomes impressive and engaging - however, it is in that same moment that you realise your opponent cannot win, because they cannot use any items. So, on the one hand, it's an incredible concept that nails the theme, art style and is very clever and fun, but on the other, it can't really be played in its current state.
- Immersive! I really enjoyed it, shotgun roulette and inscription vibes. I do know about this card game though, so slight deduction from cleverness. I would have enjoyed being able to walk around the tower, but otherwise pretty great! good work

One of the best entries in the jam, love the graphics. Its insane to me to make an 3d strategy game with an npc opponent in a jam, well done .
thanks for playing!
def wasn't easy lol.
had to cut some cool stuff to make it possible but def satisfied with the result.
Would love the see your full vision. If this was on steam I would wishlist it without a doubt
ive good news. working on a trailer tho.
Truly great one, simple to understand and the ambient tension is very well accomplished. Good job.
This is like a neat crossover between Inscryption, Shotgun Roulette, and Minesweeper. The atmosphere is a strong point. When I got my first utility it took me a minute to figure out how to turn back around to face the game board. It was a fun game and it has a ton of potential. I do think the rules are a touch hazy at times. I think some sort of diegetic tutorial system would lend well to this. It's pretty sick.
The concept is super cool, it leaves a lot of space for narrative. I personally would've enjoyed some more progression on that regard, but I had fun playing!
As other pointed out the AI needs some more work (mainly on the usage of items) but overall I enjoyed it a lot. Congrats!
I LOVE the vibe. The immediate "into action" gameplay style is my bread and butter. The only problem I had at first is figuring out wtf was going on. lol. I got a crowbar but couldn't bust open any previously 'locked' lockers. At first anyway. I soon realized I had to wait until after my 'draw' phase to unlock the lockers. This is where I feel like the game may need much more clarity. Its a card game, but going in blind I thought I was playing a strategy game. So my biggest suggestion might be adding prompts that explain how things work. :) (also I tried clicking that radio at the very beginning soooo many times. lol.)
Overall, once I finally figured out what kind of game I was playing it was ON! haha. Very cool take on an abstract card game! :D I wish that tools weren't 1-time-use though. I accidently used a crowbar to open locked water buckets more than one time with no fire to put out (I assume since the game didnt send me nor give me the option to look back at the board?)
Overall the game is a really creative take on the card game premise and is super cool aesthetically! The 'thriller' theme to it is perfect for the type of game it is and has so much potential!! I really enjoyed the world it created and how intense it would be to fight for your life and burn someone elses tower to the ground before you (gives me major 'squid game`-esque vibes which I am 100% in love with!!).
I found this game to be an alluring experience that I overall enjoyed. However, I encountered some initial UI confusion, as there appeared to be a delay in the loading and movement of certain elements. Additionally, there was a moment when the navigation buttons disappeared. It is noteworthy, that in the beginning, the visibility of the first exclamation point on the game board was somewhat limited. I also faced difficulty determining whether I had met the win condition of the game. Despite these challenges, I appreciate the unique concept of a card game/escape room with 3D interactive elements. Overall fun game!
I'm glad you enjoyed!
Ideally, Nav buttons will disappear when a Routine requires the player to stay put.
Such as waiting for their turn, Dismissing the Utility Lift, or leaving a locker open.
I do plan to automate some of these routines or give clearer indication of what should be done next.
The artistic direction of this game is on point especially for a jam game but the gameplay and opponent AI need more work.

Thanks for playing!
Any suggestions for gameplay improvement?
*Planning to improve AI, patch some bugs, add another item I had to scrap.
Great implementation of the theme inspired from Buckshot Roulette. Though at some point I am not able to collect items
Thanks for playing!
Will look into potential bugs with taking items off the Utility Lift.
Originally wanted to program "swapping" so you you juggle items with a full inventory but ran out of time.
Really cool art style, but this is very close mechanically to the board game Fire Tower by Runaway Parade Games. I had fun playing it though and with a bit of work on the ai itd be a game I actually purchase if I saw it on steam.
Thanks for playing!
I intend to implement more sophisticated tactics for the A.I such as using Utilities.
Perhaps even a difficulty toggle on the radio.
I did see a YT short on that FireTower game and someone said it could work nicely as a horror game, then this Jam showed up.
Though changed alot of things so it could stand on its own
Fun game honestly, definitely giving Buckshot Roulette, I'm not sure if I'm in love with the way the card game is played exactly. But I LOVED watching the fire progress as you kept playing. I only won because my AI opponent didn't use any items. Also when you get the crowbar, you can just take all the crowbars from your opponent and then still take another item.
It was inspired by Buckshot Roulette! :)
I kinda liked the idea of letting the player absolutely rob the opponent so i left it in.
Also ran out of time to work on the a.i so he's not too bright...
