  • Really fun! Great art! Boss takes forever to defeat. Unfortunately the Game Jam's theme of "Spreading" is nowhere to be found.

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
Simple platformer where you shoot stuff. The "first" stage guides you on the controls (there's only one stage though). In the game you can use special ammo to make enemies stronger but you get better rewards after you defeat them.

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Really awesome art!

I like the concepts put forth in the gameplay. I might be missing something though, as on the boss I think it took five or six minutes of spamming my weapons almost uninterrupted in order to finally beat it. But again, I'm sure I just didn't put two and two and two together on a mechanic.

Congrats on the game!

Yes, there is a mechanic, but I couldn't present it as clear as I wanted. Sound effects help notice this but it was implemented very late so, not exactly the best result.
But still, many thanks for the feedback.

Loving the art style , theme and game , keep it up!!!

Art was great and I liked the idea of self-selecting difficulty in a dynamic way. I kind of thought that I was toughening up enemies so that when I exploded them they would detonate a much bigger explosion until I read the GDD!

What a charming artstyle! Really liked your visuals here. The level design was good and the boss fight was very challenging. It was very fun spamming the explosive weapon.

You've got a good thing here, there's plenty to explore forward should you decide to, and, again, I'm actually envious of how nice the artwork looks. Great job!

Developer

Thanks. I will keep working on this that's for sure; this is in reality a building block for another project I have already planned. Just need to get up to date on the backlog first.

Amazing work for a 2-week jam. Great artwork, solid game play, a nicely ramping difficulty curve. You even got a boss fight in there! Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks. Unfortunately, trying to do everything brings down the scope so things got cut here and there. Still, serves as a building block.

I hear you. The shipped code for game has like 3-4 game mechanics that I set up and ran out of time to put into the levels D:
