  • For some reason, there was no full-screen option so it did hinder a little bit of the playability. Some of the menus were cut off and I think I wasn't able to see everything needed to understand what was happening. Overall the gameplay was smooth though and worked well. The lighting with the level design set the mood of the game really well. I did wish there was more to the theme of both themes implemented into the mechanics of the game more, but what you did do was good. Overall solid game.

Simple 2D platformer with a light system, and mineral transmutation

Extra Notes
First ever game jam, ultra bare-bones and buggy prototype but still proud of how much was learned in the process !

Very nice atmosphere and pixel art. I had some issues understanding the goal, or what I was supposed to do with my inventory, but I like the concept of having limited time to explore a cave, and the game looks lovely.

It was a bit confusing at first figuring out where to go, but I worked things out. Good atmosphere and pleasant to look at!

Cute game! I like the art quite a lot and the lighting was well done. I also found the light attack to be quite cute and creative. I'd love to see you return to this project and expand upon it once the jam is over

Love the art! The lighting was also really well done. Was also my first game jam and learned a lot and actually could take some notes from your game as well.

Pretty cool game! Really dig the atmosphere here! The pixel art and the music is really good!

I got a bit confused on what I needed to do after getting the blue stones, and I noticed that even when the death animation for the enemies are playing, if I hit them with my attack, the animation continues and the enemy's collision persists until the animation ends. Considering this is your first ever game jam, you did really well! Awesome stuff!!

Thank you for checking this out ! The enemy state machine is a bit messy indeed. Will keep in mind your comment if I come back to this project and try to improve it :)

Cool game, the point of transforming the minerals was a bit unclear. Really like the art.

Thank you so much ! Think I overshot the scale a lot, access to the underwater room for example was supposed to be only available when having a certain amount of each minerals, and combat should have different types of ammo using them as well. Did not have time for this prototype
