Great update(s), it's still hectic but is no longer frustrating to play - so it's a lot more fun as a result!

If you're interested, the lighting has been fixed and should look better now!

If you're interested, the lighting has been fixed and should look better now

Good game, had fun! Feels like the light gets swarmed too fast though, like I'm always next to it trying to kill stuff. Or I just suck :D

It's obviously a short experience with limited features, but I mean the mechanics themselves aren't bad. It could be refined into a sort of a puzzle game where you take clues from the environment on how things should be painted/colored etc.

Fun game, looks very nice! I thought it was a bit harsh to lose ALL my potions when I tried to "share" with the thug though, that was a bummer... made the previous day irrelevant

I had fun, but I must have been doing something wrong because my life keeps ticking down and I can't see anything that brings it back up?

I am interested in trying that, so I'll keep n eye out 🙂

I liked it and thought it was fun, but it feels like it escalates way too quickly. I get one power-up and then suddenly I get drowned by enemies. So many that picking up more orbs becomes almost impossible. I also had trouble with the dog enemies... if you get unlucky they will get on top of you and drain half your health before your attacks kill it because you run so slowly. Great work though!

The game looks nice and plays fairly well. I had fun completing the levels. I didn't have any major complaints here... the right click attack feels underwhelming and lacks impact though. One thing I noticed at the main menu: hovering over the two choices didn't feel right - removing the border of the hovered object makes it feel inverted, so I thought I found a bug! But maybe that's just me.

(1 edit)

It's a bit simple, but perfectly playable. Everything there works and I had fun! Having a cross-hair visible would help a lot with aiming. Also the creatures should probably react to getting hurt - one room had 4 or 5 enemies far enough away that I could just stand still sniping each of them :)

Great concept, great presentation, great execution. Just simply overall great. This could absolutely become a full game! It would be useful to have a reset function, I missed the very first step once and waiting for the full rewind wasn't that quick hehe.

This is a fun concept and I like the presentation. It is stressful when you get spotted! I feel that right now it is a little bit too harsh. If any guards are anywhere close to the screen, they get instantly alerted if your flashlight comes on at all. And most of the time guards seem to be nearby. Sometimes there are 2, or even 3 nearby. So I ended up trying to not use the flashlight at all, which was pretty hard!

Thank you! Yeah the AI isn't exactly perfect...! Also don't worry, you didn't miss anything - the game is just too dark in WebGL unfortunately, so if I continue working on it I need to use a different lighting strategy for web so that the lights actually work hehe.

I did originally have plans for more abilities for both the player and for Greg, but time ran out fast haha. Someone else also mentioned multiplayer to me, and I hadn't even considered it, but yeah it could totally work with some tweaks!

Thanks for trying, glad you found some fun! Yeah the darkness is #1 priority to be fixed if I continue working on it. Thanks for the tips!

I hadn't even thought of multiplayer, but that gives me so many ideas. I'm not sure if I'll continue down that road or not, but it does sound pretty fun tbh.

Thank you for the very kind words - I definitely wish I had been able to make at least one more level - maybe next time :D

Thanks for playing, and I'm glad to hear you were able to have a few different experiences!

Agreed! Thanks for trying :)

Good work! I had some issues during the game though: the attack animations were very long and incredibly slow, so I decided not to attack anything, and it was perfectly possible to just walk through the level. There's an NPC in the level that is just kinda there, and doesn't seem to have any purpose. There's a bridge you cant't walk on, so you walk through the river instead. The level selection screen is actually just two cutscenes and one level, so I was pretty confused when I tried to start the "ice level" after playing the "intro level".

Not bad! I like gathering and making stuff. The lantern runs out very fast though, so I had trouble advancing because I had to run back to the base all the time.

This is the best submission I've tried so far. It is a complete experience. It has cool mechanics, it has a story,  it is well written, and the artwork is nice. Very very impressive work.

Fun little experience, put together very well.

I had a good time,  great atmosphere. I got into the master bedroom, but couldn't figure out how to proceed from there.

Fun game, well made and fleshed out. I was stuck on the chopped up ingredients, because in the recipe I thought it was an image of the mouse trap...... once I got past that though, I got the hang of it quickly :)

Yay I won! Enjoyable experience and nice artwork! Definitely has potential to expand the gameplay

Thank you very much! Once the jam is over I want to fix the too dark lighting! :)

Thank you for trying it, glad you had some fun! The scene is definitely too dark, so I want to fix this and make a different lighting solution that works with WebGL. And I hope to make a few more levels and more AI interactions =)

I was unfortunately not able to get very far, I could't quite figure out what to do. However, the game looks very nice, it seems pretty fleshed out, and clearly a lot of thought and heart has been put into it. So great work!

The gameplay is strange, but I had fun. Very impressive results, and a smooth experience. Great work.

It was a bit confusing at first figuring out where to go, but I worked things out. Good atmosphere and pleasant to look at!

Cool music, nice mechanics, stressful and a bit difficult, but it's good!

Great looking game and some neat ideas. It would have been more fluent if you could move while inhaling!

Great concept, I really liked it. Nice effects. The mouse sense incredibly high, but otherwise I had a good experience.

I totally agree - the screenshots are a better example of what I was aiming for. Thanks for trying!

It froze when I picked up a yellow bottle somewhere, I don't recall exactly where though.

Thanks for trying it! That is totally true and I agree! I wanted a couple of levels, but I underestimated the time I had left 🙂

This was in chrome. I tried looking for hardware acceleration options, but it looks like they are already enabled. I'm gonna try the game again tomorrow, because I wanted to get a little bit further :)

Nice little game, I had a fun time!
