- Very fun, had to restart a lot in the beginning. The art was very good and the making tea was nice. Just wish the beginning was a bit more guiding. The Tab book broke a lot lol. But it happens in the beginning, also it was a lot of fun once I figured it out. Never be scare to have a tutorial type area to help guide those who're not very good to show them your intentions!

It's a top-down adventure game. You're in a house filled with your own 'shadowy' unsettling thoughts, and need to use the 'alchemic' power of herbs to help you understand and calm your thoughts.
Extra Notes
Glad to be here :) Hope you liked it, though didn't get to polish

First of all, loved the visual style and color palette! Quite unique! The sound effects are super fitting and the character animation and enemies are charming (really like the wormy lil dudes)!
I also like the fact that we can talk to these many thoughts our character has and we get to know more about him, his life and his worries through it. Thought it was a cool way to unravel a protagonist that in game, is technically silent. And yeah, doomscrolling can definitely take you to some bad places.
It was also a sweet move to keep the effects of the different tea leaves somewhat accurate to their real life counterparts.
Very cool concepts in this one. Would like to see the introduction of different ways of being stealthy, or bad thoughts that act in different ways.
Very solid game though, and outside of the book glitch, didn't encounter any other glitches. Well done!
Wow, this is quite a nice one! I like it quite much. The narrative is obvious the main focus here and it work quite well. The graphic is also very nice! I also like the idea of drinking tea calming thoughts, and as a game mechanic. Three different tea with different effects and also need to determine who want what tea is just a great use of it. Nice! I would like a good cup of tea now.
For the nitpicks, a big one would be the notebook showing in the wrong position most of the time, and I just can't get it back once that happen without dying. That is quite annoying. Speaking of the notebook, it would be nice to open the notebook else where, not just in the starting location.
Anyway, this is very well done! Keep up the good work!
Thanks a lot for your feedback! I know, the book was a big last-minute bug that I couldn't fix on time XD and it's killing me haha. I put a picture of it in the screenshots to try and compensate for that, but definitively the biggest blunder here.
To add to the theme I chose, of self-improvement and healing, and as thanks to anyone who plays, I wanted the informatio, although limited, to be accurate, so the effects of each tea is accurate according to natural medicine tradition.
Thanks a lot for playing, and sorry for the notebook bug :)
Loved the art and pace. Cool take on the theme.
Loved it! I laughed from the very first conversation with the mention of doomscrolling and knew I was gonna have fun. :)
It's a very cool take on the theme and, although the term 'alchemy' might invite us to do so, you chose not to go about it in a pretentious way, which is so cool. Your alchemy is simply natural medicine. It's tea. A kind of witchcraft in and of itself that we've explained away in a banal way nowadays and consider to be nothing special. And yet, if we choose to look at it that way, it can become nothing short of brewing a magic potion or a healing salve.
The shadows simply being negative thoughts whisked away by surgical application of the pertinent plant is also very sweet.
I really liked the gameplay loop and think this could be a lovely puzzle game if you were to keep working on it. You could expand on your three basic teas to create more complicated puzzles and even take inspiration from games like Desperados or Shadow Tactics for level design.
Anyway, that's just a few thoughts. Again, I really liked the game - thank you very much!
thanks a lot for playing and for your lovely feedback!
I'm really happy that you like the interpretation of alchemy as natural medicine. I think that nowadays we're so used to flashy movies and special effects, that it's hard for us to notice that magic is actually all around us, so I wanted to take the chance to explore that with the jam's theme.
As a detail I wanted to gift to people that played this game, the information on the herbs is accurate, according to natural medicine tradition, so it can be used in the real world :)
the Style and Art is awesome! Also the Book is quite impressive! Very enjoyable. I agree with the one comment stating that it would be good if the enemies were turning in a non-linear way. You could habe more time to react - I hope you understand what I mean. :)
Well done!
Thanks a lot for playing! and thanks for the feedback. I think it's very appropriate. I didn't take into account that I made the routes of the ghosts, so when they turned I was not surprised in the same way
Ahh! A similar mistake happened to us as well. You know your Design so well that you cant Imagine ppl could have Problems with it <_<
The art and music are excellent. Very good game, specially the book of herbs. Very enjoyable to play.
I'm in love with the pixel art & love the occasional music. Great job.
A bit more polish could make this game really great.
I think it would be better if the enemies were turning around in a non-linear way. It would give the player anticipation and time to react to some situations.
I love the art! everything feels good the animations and sound are awesome, the look of the book is really good. Good work!
