The game plays very well in the browser and the gameplay feels smooth and is a lot of fun. Yes, it put a smile on my face. The GDD is detailed and a good base for the development of the game. Keep it up, write down what you want to do it helps a lot for the further development. The animation of the squirrel is awesome and really cute. The speed of the flying nuts and enemy projectiles is good and the game doesn't feel too crowded. You could implement the theme a bit better if you made the squirrel interact more with the enemies like biting, tail swipe and such. The throwing of the nuts feels a bit too overpowered. You could implement an ammo capacity and show it on the squirrel like have his cheeks as ammo pouches.

Use ASWD to control your character and mouse left click shoot acorns (click the Help Button on the main menu)
No other controls, no secret buttons, no pause menu, very simple.
There are secrets though ...
Collect acorns for HP and for fun!
Explore an icy landscape while searching for your children and wife!
Watch out for fire breathing monsters, and angry insects!
Please enjoy!
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
A meme of a squirrel with a gun was brought to the first meeting.
The rest is history!
The team was made up of first time game designers, graphic designers, and story tellers.
We poured our hearts into this and are really proud of what we were able to accomplish, while holding down full time jobs and a child.
We all actually wish to continue to develop the game after the game jam is completed.
You made indie developers out of us all in this group.
THANK YOU!
