Nice game!
The controls are easy to understand and the game is pretty addicting. The dopamine rush I got from winning (even though I was really slow) made the game feel very challenging yet rewarding.
I think your take on the theme is very creative, and the game design is done very well.
The art for this game is pretty good, and I liked the font as well as the giant hot dog hanging in the background.
I might be wrong about this, but it seems that after the player successfully eats a hot dog, it doesn't really show in the game, only the counter goes down. (maybe add an eating animation/munching sound?) Additionally, I think the three competitors look really funny (especially the middle one) and it adds a lot to the game.
For the sounds, I like the background music, and even though it's a little intense-sounding for a hot dog eating game, I liked how you turned down the volume of it so that it fit better. The coughing sounds were a nice touch too.
All in all, this is one of the best games I've come across and one of the only games that I actually had fun playing. Good luck in this game jam!

Really cool and creative game! The arrows moving made it a bit hard to read. But the game is fun and the artstyle is great
Really nice take on the game although it becomes repetitive and boring after a bit. Although 10/10 on the sounds and the animations!!
Very creative take on the theme! The mechanic is simple but has plenty of potential, plus I really love the art style. Small, small suggestion: instead of recentering the arrows every time, maybe make them static and just remove the arrows left to right. I think (i might be wrong) this would make them easier to read more quickly. Overall, good game!

I really like the animation, aesthetics, and feel of the game.
I do think it could be a bit better if there were effects when the keys were pressed (screen shake, etc), or the opponents were knocked out every 5 hotdogs you eat, or even having the game be a carnival setting with other minigames to make it more engaging.
