Huge fan of the movement system of this game, the controls in particular felt really nice. The neat details like the jump animation and the arrow at the bottom left really make the game feel more complete. Some suggestions: visually differentiate the moving platforms from the breaking platforms to make it easier for the player to decide what to do (it could also make the level look more varied, maybe make the breaking platform look like it has cracks from magma). I had a second suggestion but i forgot it while typing the first (sorry, adhd).
Oh, and I really love the idea of restarting the level with new obstacles each time. It really allows the players to polish their movement without making the level too same-y. I might steal that idea (respectfully) for the game I'm working on lmao. Really fun game, great job!

I really like the artstyle of this game, esp the animations. The theme was also implemented well with the mechanic---and a really creative interpretation btw. As a suggestion, maybe allow players to use inputs other than the arrow keys, maybe using wasd? The game has a lot of potential, esp one you start adding more interesting objects in the map. Overall, great job!
The visuals were really well-polished and cohesive. The gameplay loop itself is simple, but has potential. It would have been nice if the whole, body-temp mechanic had more risk. The movement mechanics were really great, the fast movement complements the layout---there was a point where I was just zooming back and forth between the boiler and a room full of gas and it felt really good navigating that path. Overall, good game!
I see where you're coming from and I really agree for the most part.
This has only been the 3rd jam I joined but I dont remember this kind of rate spam being that apparent in jams like ludum dare. I would guess that the 'prize' associated with this jam incentivized this kind of behavior.
As for saying the truth in the feedback, I think it depends on what you're rating. I think a lot of submissions here are from relatively new developers, and sometimes what they need is motivation, not brutal honesty. In most cases, the problems with their games are readily apparent things that they don't need to hear commented over and over anyway.
As for the "cool game, rate mine too" feedback, yeah im not really a huge fan of that behavior (i still rate their game tho cuz i feel bad)
Visually very stunning. I am in love with the art style of this game. The movement and layout were simple (in a really good way, allowing players to rely on precision instead of tricks to save time). Your implementation of the theme was also really nice. Huge fan of how the temperature modifies movement, a mechanic I wished more platformers in this jam had. I have suggested this in other platformers, but maybe make it easier/faster to restart (the problem isnt that bad in this game, but even small death animations really add up over a lot of deaths) . Overall, really enjoyed this game, would love to see this expanded upon after the jam, great work!
Really interesting movement system, it felt a bit floaty and the character had no momentum, and I can't tell if it made the game harder or easier. I really liked the map layout, but I think the movement system could be tuned a bit better to complement this layout. Still, had a fun time playing, great work!
Really well-polished. The movement and abilities make it fun to play and master, esp when you get into the flow. Speaking of which, it can sometimes be hard to get into the flow whenever you get stuck (because you ran out of heat) since you have to open the menu, click restart, and wait for the restart animation. I suggest making streamlining this process to make it easier for the players to restart quickly. Overall tho, prolly of the most fun I've had playing platformers in this jam. Aside from some rough edges, it felt like a complete game. Really good work!
Really good graphics and sfx which makes the game look well-polished. The music can sound repetetive at times and the characters get stuck in walls (the q-r is a well-intentioned band-aid solution, although i think it has the potential to be its own unique movement mechanic). Overall, great submission!
Really cool concept. I love games that require you to multitask and juggle your time so I think this game has plenty of potential. The idea is unique and well-executed. I think you can build more upon this idea of switching between the game-inside-the-game and the outside-game to make it even more interesting/harder. Overall, Good work!
I don't particularly like platformers but this has to be my favorite one so far in this jam. The mechanics are simple but I think that's the strength of this game. Just as a point for improvement, right now, because of the layout, it's very easy to mispress "restart" instead of "checkpoint" which resets all progress.
Very Chaotic (in a really good way) and fun. It could benefit from the polish (maybe w the controls and visual), but overall really fun. Core concept has a lot of potential and if developed, i think this might genuinely be a game I could see myself playing to relax (in a 'playing goat simulator' sense of relaxation)
Very creative take on the theme! The mechanic is simple but has plenty of potential, plus I really love the art style. Small, small suggestion: instead of recentering the arrows every time, maybe make them static and just remove the arrows left to right. I think (i might be wrong) this would make them easier to read more quickly. Overall, good game!
Cute artstyle and really fun once you get the hang of it. As a suggestion, maybe give the player something to do while they wait for the moon to cooldown. As it is there's really not much to do but stand or maybe go around in circles esp if you already have the ingredients on your head. Good game tho and I really enjoyed it!
