Question similar to Alerted's below, but more of a wording thing - If I resolve column A, and win, I get 1 point. "You get one point for each column you win". I then consult the CRT and see that I move 1 space. However the only way I can see to get a score of +2 or +3 is after resolving all three columns first. But we're meant to do them one at a time, no?
I must be missing something. Is it 1 extra point for a winning column, over and above the amount by which I beat the union card with my card/s? That's the way it seems to make sense to me.
Man, fitting the rules on these postcards is a wargame in itself.
you resolve all three columns, total your score, then consult the CRT. lol, yes, it is a challenge to write clear rules. =)
Ok, thanks!
Thanks for the game :-) I made a quick post about on my Instagram site in case you are on that. The only question I had was when I was in the positive points and had the option to move. I played that I could advance any of my units and in the case of 2 moves I could advance one unit 2 spaces or 2 units one space each. Was that correct?

not exactly. when resolving combat you are only resolving one game board column A,B or C at a time. it is a 1v1 in each column, although i can see that you may have been doing all three game board columns with the three card columns. it should be; resolve combat for game board column A, the Column B, then column C. so you only have 1 unit that gets to move.
Got it! Thanks for the clarification. played again this morning doing one battle row at a time and it went super smooth.
Nice =)
This is fun, and quite a challenge to work out a strategy. 2 questions- what does "push at its location" mean- does it mean move ahead? "Move 1 space" does that mean for just 1 unit? (I assume so). Also in the last sentence "combat" is spelt incorrectly.
Push in the combat is a tie, regardless of the other cards value. the term Push is used in casinos, especially Blackjack it denote a tie.. Thanks for the sp discovery, I'll change that before the games get published.
Thank you for the kind words. It's light, but has a few fun decisions to make. =)
Hi Hissy!
Questions:
1) Can i rearrange the order of the confederate cards when i assign them to the union? example: I want my confederate jack from column 2 assigned against the Union 10 on column 3?
2) Combat constitutes all 3 phases correct? So if I'm resolving combat in row A...the union cards and confederate cards combat result only apply to row A, right?
Sorry for all the questions 😅
once you assign your card, it can not be reassigned, but otherwise YES you can play your card, flipped or not to ANY flipped/exposed Union card. if you play one of your un-flipped cards, you assign it and then flip it. and no worries ask away. =)
second question, you resolve each column separately. example column A - Union has a 7 and I played a 3 and a 5, I win the column 8-7 and get 1 point, column B is uncontested, Union wins 1 point, Column C, Union has an 8, i played a K, I win column C and win a point. I win the combat 2-1 so check the +1 row in the combat results table. I really struggled to explain this to fit on the postcard...LOL
Perfect! Oh i understand perfectly what you saying about fitting rules into the postcard...you will see the struggle when you get to my games lol Thank you for the answers, appreciate everything you do my friend.
Ditto, we are all part of this wonderful community. =)
Hey Hissy,
If i commit a card, does that mean I'm automatically challenging it?
yes
So is what you are saying that the player can combine 2 or even 3 confederate cards in a column/challenge to win, and each confederate card can only be used once. Or am I confused again?
that is correct.
Thank You for Your submission :) It was and still is a very interesting experience - to see and enjoy that many diverse designs.
=)
