👾Rules:
- The theme of the game MUST be made with what we had announced.
- Team: Maximum for 4; has to sign up before the competition starts.
- Your game must be submitted BEFORE 6:01 PM on 2nd March.
- No AI usage.
- Feel free to use free tools; specify the source. (i.e. put them on “read me” in the code)
- No sensitive context (e.g. violence/NSFW/political); focus on completing the game.
- Cannot work BEFORE the game jam starts. (at 6 PM on 28th Feb)
- DO NOT submit your old demos/already finished project.
- Feel free to communicate with other groups; however, DO NOT copy other group’s work.
- Have fun!
🤖 Engines:
- Can use anything, as long as the build/export is playable. Can be playable in the browser, or be linked as a download.
- Unity, Unreal, Godot, etc.
💣Submission:
- In your submission, please include a README.txt. In the .TXT:
- Specify the source of all assets.
- Write the team name.
- Write a brief description of the game.
- Write the game title.
🧐 Judging:
- Games will be rated by both game jam participants and by certain QGDC exec members
- Note: If QGDC exec members decide to participate in the Game Jam, they will be counted as game jam participants instead of exec judges.
- The final rating will be the maximum rating between the public votes and the exec judge’s votes.
- i.e. max(public_votes, QGDC_exec_juedges)
🏹 Rating:
- Theme: Does the game strongly adhere to the theme with an interesting take?
- Fun/Game Feel: Is the game enjoyable and engaging?
- Graphics: Are the visuals well-crafted that complement the game's atmosphere?
- Audio: Does the game have audio, and does the audio sound good and fit with the game?
- Originality: Is the game novel, were you pleasantly surprised by some aspect of the game?
- Stability: Is the game stable, or does the game crash unexplainably and unexpectedly?
📢 Credits:
- Credits recognize everyone who contributed to your game
- This includes developers, artists, sound designers, and anyone who provided assistance in any capacity.
- Properly crediting all contributors ensures acknowledgment for their work and helps players and judges understand each person's role.
- If you utilized third-party assets—such as art, music, or code—mention the original creators.
⚠️Legal:
- Legal information includes ownership, permissions, and licensing for your game. If you used external assets, be sure to adhere to their licensing terms (e.g., Creative Commons, royalty-free, purchased licenses).
- Specify whether your game is open-source or if others can use or modify it.
- Including a brief disclaimer that this is a game jam project can also help manage expectations.

- What if I can’t attend the game jam ceremony in person?
- Ans: We will pull you (and your group if you have one) into a Discord private voice channel, so people can work from online and in-person
- How do I sign up for the Game Jam?
- I don’t have a team, what should I do? And how does the team assigning work?
- Ans: We will put you into a Discord group chat for seeking teammates; please specify that on the sign-up form!!
