Hi Aline, thanks for yor feedback. Yeah, we only made  it half-wa, if  you  are  intereted       in how the game was supposed to be played, check the Lore section on the games Jam page: https://sealnf.itch.io/natura

We'll try to improve the game after Jam is over - bringing it closer to the vision we have.

oh yeah, I felt that... I hope you get the time to finish it, I think it would turn to be a great game when you do :D

I loved the beautiful artwork and the seasonal progression. I enjoyed how it helped teach about plant and soil life cycles! I was able to collect 7 plants.

Notes I took during my gameplay:

download is launching unity webgl player, doesn't run, switched to html

flyout on right hand side is in awkward position, have to scroll screen to select it

i like the greyed-out vs color to indicate plants you've identified. would be nice to have a bit more text here to learn about plants

maybe seasonal growth should pause while alamanac open? Went through 2 seasons looking at plants lol

i like the tooltips on mouseovers, could round the edges to make them look more polished. Multiple words overflow box (wet, water, shadow)

how do I plant?

seasons changing while in pause menu

what do stars mean? edit: oh, tracks gathering

the screen scrolling feels smooth and fluid

i like the seasonal noises

nothing is growing, restarting game. plants growing now

ding noise on start is thematically at odds with the rest of the game

pretty illustrations

ooh I can pick shrooms. sometimes hard to select. Are these the only things I can pick?

oh I was able to pick a tree

can't figure out how to plant, I assume I need to do that to unlock the rest of the plants

It's an awesome concept! The graphics are really pretty. Just needed more time to implement.

Looks lovely, and your idea is good but there doesn't seem to be much game here, can you actually plant anything ? (eidit - see in other comments you can't) I could collect most of the plants just waiting around but that's no game. There should also be some feedback on adding something to the almanac, until i realised the almanac was there at all i couldn't even tell i was doing anything.

Also agree on others comments about the camera, its awful the way it is since you aren't capturing the cursor to keep it in the scroll area.

Real shame it didnt get further coz you have nice art, and you did a lovely itch page for it.

Unique idea! The way you start in basically a wasteland and as the time passes, slowly plants grow and populate it was really interesting to me.

One thing I would change is the camera movement to have WASD or atleast arrow keys support because at the moment trying to click the button on the right usually moves the camera.

Hello, I can't figure out how to plant things, I feel like I have tried everything and explored the whole map :'(

Your game look cool, but Im too dumb to understand what to do :'((((

Developer

Thanks for playing our game.

We worked really hard to get planting and some other things done - but time was just too short. So the "Plant" button doesn't  have  any implemented action. The goal you can  go for: Wait until new (and later rare plants) grow by themselfs under their needed conditions. When you click on them, you harvest them for points, and unlock the respective Almanach entry. Once all Almanach entries get unlocked, you can consider winning the game.

I just finished the Lore for our game - in section "Lore" you can read how the game was supposed to  be played: https://sealnf.itch.io/natura
