This was really fun! The level design was good, with a nice variety of gimmicks and enemies, and it exploited your fly's floating abilities well. The graphics are good and fit the NES style. My only major gripe was with the controls; your fly sticks to the ground for a split second after landing, which takes some getting used to.
That's fair enough- maybe I should've made that landing lag interruptible. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing :)
I have a big trouble and I'm stucked. When I go up from the first screen to appear in the second one, my character is circled by white dots and I can't do anything the game is frozen.
Do you have any idea ? Is it a bug or I'm just completely stupid ? xD
Oh dear. That sounds like a bug to me. I will have to have a look at the code when I get back from work. Hopefully I can get this fixed today. Thanks for the feedback!
Ok ! NP i'll wait until it's fixed ! Can't wait to test your game !
Hi! I've just uploaded v1.0.1 in which I've attempted to fix this bug. I couldn't replicate it, but I've seen Godot do weird things in Windows exports, so I've made a few changes that should hopefully let you play through the game (fingers crossed).
If these don't work, I've added a bit of code that will force the screen into position if it does not scroll after 3 seconds. Hopefully it doesn't come to this, but if it does, then sorry for the ugly transitions!
Really fun game! I really like the player's mechanics and how in the levels if you go too far left/right you appear on the other side of the screen!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing man :)
Great great game!! the level design is very clever, it makes you think and use the mechanics to complete each level, the hovering mechanic is awesome! This is a very good submission and I really had fun playing this game, the character and the music theme matches the atmosphere greatly.
Thanks dude, much appreciated!
I'm a big fan of this! The mechanics are really simple but through clever enemy and level design you manage to cram a lot of different game-feels into one game. It evoked, at various times for me, Kid Icarus, Frogger, and Metroid, while really being its own unique thing.
Era Feel-wise, musically and level design it really nails NES vibes, although the sprites are just a little too "nice" (big, vibrant colors, good shading). Maybe it evokes an arcade cabinet of that era though.
Audio design I just wish it had more than one music track :) It was a great track but after a certain number of loops I was just wishing for variety.
All-in-all a really solid entry, one of the best I've played. Great stuff!
I really wanted a track per area, but it was ultimately a time thing. It'll be something I go back to post-jam I'm sure. Thanks for playing and for the kind words :)
It's so good! If I had to nitpick, the controls start feeling a bit slow when you start being thrown up at 50 miles/hours, but literally perfect other than that. Very Good Job!
Thanks for playing and for the feedback :)
Very fun! A really well made and executed game!! :D
Thank you so much :)
Fun and charming!
I appreciated the evolution of the jumping and hovering mechanics as the game went on. As well as the progression of the environment art. It really felt like a journey to the moon.
Great job! ^_^
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing man :)
I really like this game. The game is structured very well, the way that each distinct area elaborates on a mechanic from a previous one is really well done. The controls are tight and great for the precision the later parts require. The little mega man like screen transitions tie the whole thing together perfectly. Good work!
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Ok, i think you put some affection here XD .
The control works good and you explore some excelentes mechanics (the wind mechanics and the gravity scheme are so FKN awsome!). The level design works good and the dificult progression was well applied.
Your art-work is "off the curve". The sprites are beauty and the color palet usage works very well with your game porpouse.
Thanks for your excelent game! I enjoy it very much! S2
Thank you so much for the kind words :)
What a lovely game. The vibe here goes from Mario to Ice Climbers to Metroid. A very simple platforming mechanic in hovering, with some really cleverly crafted levels. The character art is really wonderful.
The controls are tight and the jumping/hovering is precise. My favorite touch is the tactile feel of hitting walls and landing from jumps with a bit of landing lag like in Castlevania. It's responsive and very retro. Really well done!
Thanks for playing man! I think you caught literally all my inspirations there :)
