Very nice music in this one!

What made this hard for me was the controls. They had to be read outside of the game and memorized. It felt like some of them were maybe not even needed. Was there a situation where you even wanted to put an item down? I could have just picked up the eye of the beholder and have it with me until delivered?
Also, the zones where the controls worked, like picking up the eye and returning into the space ship was very very precise.
For some reason the arrows turned the spaceship very fast. I had a similar problem in another game. Maybe it's something with my setup causing it, because it was hardly possible to control it even.

It felt like I just kept having the same quest all the time, i collected 2 eyes and then got owned on a planet, looking for a third. Were there others too?

Cool entry, a bit different take on the roguelike genre! Loved the particles by the way

Love it! I love the drifting, I wasn't very sure how to attack once I was on a planet. Also it seems a bit wierd that the ship attacks were slower than the ship, but REALLY cool

Love the zoom change when you are near a planet

Developer

Should probably explain how to attack on a planet, so it should use the same Key as while flying which would be the "A" key. otherwise thanks for trying our game

yes I knew, but I mean it wasn't a shooting just some animation around you so you are supposed to be near the enemy and press A? Wouldn't the enemy kill you?

Developer

Yeah its more of a mele blast, which does intended for you to go mele on the Enemy, all youve got to do is attack after they attack

This is fantastic!

Could use polishing on some aspects e.g movement on the planet but for a game jam this feels really nice.

Loved the zooming in/out of the camera around planets it made the game feel cinematic.

Music is great and I love how featured it is via in game systems.

It's a pleasant little game, but I feel the controls could be streamlined a bit. Like, attacking, entering/exiting the ship, and picking up/dropping items could all potentially be assigned to the same button and be context sensitive. Also making it possible to pick a reward using keys and not the mouse.

It would also make somewhat more sense if the camera was zoomed out while in space, and closer when on a planet, instead of the other way around.

Still, music and graphics are nice, and the ship controls are beautiful!

Developer

Interesting feedback, i do agree that the controlles could be streamlined a little bit, and that the camera could be better, so overall thanks for the feedback if we do a post jam update we will try to take it into account

The music was fantastic, mad props for that.  I really liked the addition of a chill mode.  I also really liked the spaceship controls.  I think the core loop is almost there but needs a bit of work, the combat is a bit jank and I'm not sure if it's possible to die.  All in all though I had a really nice time, very cozy game.

Developer

Thank You for your kind words!

this is a neat idea and I could see it being fun if developed further. I like the music tracks and it's nice that you can change the volume. some things that I noticed could be improved:
- I could not figure out where the space merchant is, maybe some kind of a quest marker or some indicator to tell you how to find him would help (or maybe there is something like that and I just missed it, ha)

- adjusting the volume with the mouse in game make the a and d keys adjust the volume until I clicked off of it, which initially was a bit confusing.

- the rocket sound does not loop seamlessly and does not fade out when you stop the ship, making a small click sound

- could use some more sfx overall and the  lazer sound from the ship could use a bit of randomization

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, great recommendations I will post an update shortly!
