Thanks so much for playing! XD we had to take out some tutorial elements at the last second so it might not be super clear what the rules are haha

Hrmm interesting. The portal sound should be -10dB of the maximum system output so they are relatively loud and there are box sounds (when the box's rigidbody is above a certain relative velocity; the sound is 3D because it would be out of place as a 2D sound). I guess the footstep sounds could be more interesting. There aren't too many things visually in the game that could produce sound so unless I add in random sounds for things that aren't on screen, everything has a sound. I guess it could sound plain because there aren't a variety of visual sound sources so there aren't that many total sounds that could be played

. Again, thanks for the feedback!

Hey Sergi, thanks for the feedback! By chance, did you play the windows version? In the webGL version, it shouldn't play the same lines over and over again (we uploaded the wrong build for windows); if it does, there might be a bug that we don't know about yet! Also, in what ways is the game lacking sound? Like is it lacking music or missing sound effects or something like this? Please let me know!

Only the person that made the game page can submit it apparently (not the admins)! We were able to submit when waffle woke up (uncomfortably close to the end of the submission period). I ended up creating a duplicate page for the game and deleted it after waffle submitted.

(1 edit)

I'm not sure where project settings are, but its visibility is set to public on itch. Still not working....

My team is trying to submit our game to the jam but it appears that we can't. We can't tell if this is because we have already submitted it or if it is for some other reason.  The only background info I can give is that when I go to select "Existing project", the game doesn't appear. It already has a public itch page. HALP pls.

Heck yeah, the map seems like a solid idea. I had a lot of fun with the jam version and I’m excited to see the post jam version with these additions!

Amazing! I don't have any comments on improvements, it looked great, felt great, and sounded great. I love the map layout and variety of enemy types/attacks especially!

the little AWS's everywhere had me cracking up. cool graphics and nice gameplay! I wished that the enemies were knocked back a little bit when you hit them so that you feel safe/strong attacking. I couldn't hear the music for some reason but I saw a music volume slider on the top right. Nice submission!

neato. I was very confused when I fell down a shaft and couldn't get out..... and then I read the instructions and learned about my favorite mechanic, the blast thing! I like the map generation a lot as well. Props to you for creating all of the assets in such a short window of time! The music doesn't loop (I got lonely/sad when it stopped) but this is a super easy fix. great job!

super creative take on the theme, hell yaaaaaaa. It took me a minute (or five) to figure out that I could dive and actually fight back but experimenting with movement and combat felt great. Some sort of tutorial or instruction might've helped; having all of the buttons (very creatively) listed was a great idea.

Very cool mechanic! I love the web of currency/armor idea so much, it feels great and provides a really interesting trade-off to the player.

Very fun! I like the punny take on the theme; the controls felt really nice! I was a bit confused about when I died vs when I completed the level, some feedback like an explosion of particles or a death sound effect when you die or a victory sound effect when you complete the level might make this a bit clearer. Also sick boss fight!

I'd love some feedback on our game! Playing yours now

thanks for playing!! Also we added in a restart button for this reason though it got squished up and partly hidden in webGL. Gotta build earlier next time!

super fun and cool puzzle design! also, absolutely smackin music

I loved the particle effects when turning! I wish that there were some sound effects or wooshes when you had a near miss or pulled off a cool trick. Very fun!

I really enjoyed the controls, the motion felt great. I also really like how the boss jiggles when taking damage and that you can carve a path for yourself by shooting the boss' projectiles. I wish that there were some sound effects/boss music, that would've taken this to the next level!

this game is pretty difficult! I had a lot of trouble doing a high jump over the first spiky boxes (right after the first checkpoint). I almost gave up after trying for 5 minutes but finally made it over!

really cool! You gave the perfect amount of time for the player to figure out what's going on and then complete the task (i finished with pretty much no time left, which felt great)

Super creative idea! the visuals and mechanics tied it all together really well.

I love the visuals! it is kind of like minecraft 2.5d! I had some trouble figuring out what to do but after a few minutes of exploring, I was having fun! great job

really amazing art ahhhhhhh awesome gameplay too! I love the respawn/weapon switching mechanic

super creative concept!

I really enjoyed the realization that the game is more than double what I thought  when I reached the square ending! Awesome plot twist!

Yes!

(music guy here) I agree! the music was implemented last second so we didn't have time to talk about the importance of not destroying it when the new scene is loaded.... definitely gotta leave more time for that next time. I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
