I really love the art style and aesthetic in your game, I think having a font that compliments it would be a nice touch.  If you can make it a bit more accessible I think it could be amazing. You get bonus points for the cool art.

Always impressive to see a card game made in RPG Maker, with an awesome dark fantasy art style!

The isometric map exploration is definitely a cool feature, and the other comments have discussed possible options to help with navigation.

UI-wise, some areas feel a little clunky. Needing to scroll through empty hand slots when selecting cards in your hand adds unnecessary button presses. I found the system to equip/unequip cards tricky to keep track of when they are all in the same list, and it forces you out of the menu whenever changes are made.

Cool to see this new iteration of your card system!

I think most of what I have to say for improvements have already been said so I'll start with this. I think this game has a lot of potential. I absolutely love RPG Card Games so I was excited for this.

I love the artstyle! Gives me major retro gameboy vibes! The graphics and music I think perfectly fits the aesthetic.

The main issue I have is what has been said already. Gameplay is super interesting of a concept. I don't think I've seen some of these card mechanics before. With that being said, it needs to explain it a little more. as the others pointed out, its hard to see what stats cards have and hard to see if anything even happened after the round.

Overall, I'd rate this one a 4/5. Very awesome job and I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. I definitely think if further developed, it'll go places! :D

Please consider trying out my entry as well if you have the time.

I really like it. There are a few things that need to be tightened up. Show the costs and stats on the cards in your hand, have a little sword icon above the attack stat in case players forget which stat is which, find a way to show what the cards are, or show a list with all the cards in the game. Other than that everything worked perfect, the card art is cool, the game is easy to learn and play, just wish I knew where to go.

Very cool aesthetic and I liked the idea of this game a lot. Unfortunately, I found the gameplay  unenjoyable currently; just selecting a card was trial and error most of the time. I also wish there was a little more indication of damage between cards at the end of the round to show something happening. The map idea was very interesting, but hard to figure out where I was/where I was going. I think a mini-map showing the larger world layout would help with orientation. Definitely an interesting premise and look forward to seeing where this goes!

Edit: also did a first impressions vid of this which I finally got uploaded, which might help show how I was struggling with card selection, maybe it was just a glitch on my end/with my controller: https://youtu.be/s50C5GXeQl4?t=1913

It's called originality my man, it is not bad game design when you encounter something you've never seen in a card game before ;)

Great work LionX! The artwork is absolutely gorgeous for this entry, and the music is top notch, as to be expected from a professional studio. There are quite a few bugs and issues that made me stop playing, but all in all, a solid experience. Very good stuff!

Thanks JD I'm sorry you found some bugs. I didnt realize I could use old plugins and I remade the old engine from the previous game in a short amount of hours. A good learning experience nonetheless C:
