Wow! I say wow! This one is very fun, although I easily stomped through the attackers with my mighty archer towers. Great work! This looks like the basis of a full-scoped game.
The main gameplay loop is fun, satisfying. It doesn't provide any challenge though, when you build a whole lot of gold mines, trees and taverns, and then a whole lot of archer towers and upgrade them. With proper balance, with more scarce resources or limited amounts of buildings, I think it would be very fun.
Third person view was cool, but I really only used it to look at where enemies were coming from. I punched them in the beginning, but it didn't seem that useful. It would be cool if I could repair buildings in that mode.
Hey, about the balancing, I fixed it. You have a building limit now, so you have to balance between resources and defenses, but I cannot put that version of the game until the jam ends.
And also, thanks for that suggestion to repair buildings; I am going to add that in a future update!
Such a fun little game! Definitely my genre, and for a jam it had lots of content which was nice. Could have played longer and gotten hooked if there were a few more buildings/things to focus on, but really really great entry!
gahh I went through SO many waves before noticing there was a 'speed up' button!!
So this was a fun entry that was really ambitious for a jam. There are some balancing issues for sure. I was swimming in resources in no time and wasn't finding it challenging at all until the larger guys started showing up. They gave me more of a challenge. But really, the only limitation was the amount of space on the map for where to place my stuff. The resources themselves were something I hardly had to think about cause I was able to build so many buildings.
A few minor visual bugs but nothing that really brought the experience down. Overall this was a great entry and I really enjoyed playing it!
I played this for a while, reminds me of age of empire. Really impressive how well you got the Ui and controls to work. Great job
I played your game on stream if you'd like to see my thoughts:
Hey, thank you for playing my game. You're right, there is some balancing to do, but you could have upgraded your towers to help defend against the big guys. I also rushed with the Genies assets because I had only some hours left and I totally forgot about it.
wow, that's a tremendous amount of work for just seven days! I had fun, the controls were easy and intuitive, and it was satistying to expand the village
