Gotta say, more games need a crowd this enthusiastic while i play. made me feel really good

Host

Really cool and fun game!

First off, the crowd was such a nice touch! I loved seeing people jump up and down cheering me on and the voice lines of the crowd were great!

The commentary was also pretty funny! I liked being narrated through and it worked really well for the context of the game.

Platforming was pretty tricky but I did somehow make it past the finish line!  And the game is fairly short so it didn't get too frustrating.

Overall I had a good time with this! Well done and thanks for taking part in the jam!

After having seen it worked on live for multiple hours actually playing this was a blast!

The only real disappointment I have is that nothing happens after the finish line is crossed, but considering how much was dpme already I can understand running out of steam.

Excellent work, I can't wait for Cool Game, Fun Game 5!

Very fun game!

It was really fun, a bit short though. There were some challenging jumps and I really enjoyed how much control I have mid air. There is one thing I noticed, if you fall of the rods and end on a wall you can skip the moving platforms and the slide and just jump down of the wall at the finish line. Still pretty fun!

XCVG already provided a detailed on point feedback. I wish I could see my progression and maybe a timer for increasing my motivation. It was still fun to play a short platforming challenge. Thanks!

This game kinda felt like being in an FBA video, which I guess is probably the point. The graphics are janky 3D, which is always a safe bet for this jam. The audio design I'm not sure about. I really, really liked the combination of ambient sounds and narration, but I don't know if it crosses the line into excessive, and I'm not sure it's so bad it's good.

The obstacle course did get pretty frustrating, but it's short enough that it's not the end of the world, and I did figure out that sprint works in the air and can be used to cheese it a bit. I think my only major complaint is that the ending is really abrupt. I'm not sure if something failed to trigger or if this is the way it's supposed to go, but I made it across the finish line, got narration to that effect, and then was left to wander.

I know it's done tongue-in-cheek, but I do feel the "it's YOUR journey being narrated" gimmick is going to be more immersive for people who use he/him pronouns. In general though I think this is a great first entry, although I know you guys were coming in with quite a bit of prior knowledge.

Thoughtful and precise, everything you've said is true. We spent more time wrestling with new concepts in godot than we did actually building what we wanted. Neither the level nor the sound design got as much work as we would have liked to consider it truly done.

The  stage ends because that's as much level design as we had the steam for. We would be embarrassed to show you the code for the audio handling. The pronouns in the narration is a great call out and just a thoughtless oversight. Doing it again even without the YOUR STORY part we would've liked to change the narration to gender agnostic. It's a live, one-take recording that was made as Nick played the game, so we used his pronouns by mistake.

Hopefully we'll have more space for design and art (which we enjoy) once we can dial in some templates for coding (which we do not enjoy).

Looking forward to playing your entry this Saturday. Thanks for playing ours.
