A fun and accurate social game. But a couple of remarks: There is more contrast between money and alcohol - some simply will not see the difference. And not a very good solution with a spinning camera - personally, after the second approach, I started to get seasick
Thanks for review! Yeah, I definitely could have made camera a bit better. Some day I'll learn how to use Unity Cinemachine effectively :)
Fun game, definitely one of the more unique ones I've played so far. It does get pretty difficult to avoid the obstacles or grab the powerups once you really get going fast though. Great job!
Thanks :)
Best falling down simulator I've played.
Thank you :)
It's pretty good, it's just because it's physics-based the movement is not at all responsive, so a lot of times it's impossible to dodge what I think is crypto. I think this is a great iteration of the theme though. Also I'm not sure but I think you're using the Super Auto Pets music?
Well, technically that falling dude's butt (literally his butt) is controlled by little ball, jumping in 2d environment and having nothing in his little world except of static walls. Ball's position is controlled by mouse or touchscreen, but I messed up with keyboard controls (kbd controls speed, not position). Unfortunately I was quite short on time to fix it :(
You are second person mentioning Super Auto Pets - but I didn't even hear about that game before, actually. I got the music on Unity Asset Store
That's actually really interesting, I might have to use that technique in one of my games. It was probably just me being bad then, and make sure to check out the Super Auto Pets music, it sounds way too similar to your music, and if you care enough you can report the music from the Unity Asset Store to take it down.
Well, I believe nor Super Auto Pets, nor asset developer, nor me are violated any copyrights or rules :)
https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/audio/music/a-casual-music-pack-160915 - latest version of the asset was released in Feb 2020, and according to Google, initial release date of Super Auto Pets is September 24, 2021. So, Super Auto Pets just use music from that asset. Though they did not mention it in credits, it is not required by Unity's license.
I had no idea Super Auto Pets used asset store music, I always thought that music was directly from the game, sorry for nagging you about it.
No problem :) That's actually good you paid attention - while it's somehow forgivable for small non-profit projects, sometimes even commercial projects violate copyrights and that definitely should not go unnoticed.
Actually, that's generally quite a big issue when public assets are used in popular projects, because it alters average users' perception on games they see after that. Some time ago I was quite confused to see models in some game, veeery similar to models in completely another one (I thought assets were copied from Perfect Heist). Then I found out about Synty Studios :D
I LOVE the staircase! Best falling-down-the-stairs-whilst-drinking-booze-and-not-collecting-any-money simulator since ... my real life ;) Felt a little out-of-control and the whole thing is a little long-winded. UI is very pro!
Now you can use this simulator instead of playing that in real life ;)
Good that I made stairs 2 times shorter right before final build :D Yeah, keyboard controls there are quite bad - just didn't have time to adjust them. Mouse and touchscreen should work better.
Thanks for feedback :)
Really funny and enjoyable game, love that Super Auto Pets music. Also, just wanted to say how smooth navigating the menus felt, that was really well done. Just wish the controls felt a bit more responsive, it often felt sluggish moving left and right. Fun game though!
Thanks! I also love that music :) Got it on sale some time ago in Unity Asset Store - "A Casual Music Pack" by Cafofo. Yeah, controls are not the best, especially if you use AD or arrows - I was quite short on time to adjust them. With mouse or touchscreen it works much better :)
Wow! Interesting idea. So cool for mobile gaming
