Hard to understand at first but good game additive!

Excellent game, my favourite so far :). Very cool progression.  At some point I was receiving very few block to mount weapons on, so my progress felt very sluggish, but despite that I had a lot of fun. I wish there was a full release :)

This was an incredibly good concept! Though I almost gave up on it instantly since I was trying to drag a gun onto the ship without adding a block for it first, and thought the game wasn't working, I'd love to see just a simple breakdown of "place down a block for a weapon, place weapon in block, launch, kill things, repeat" either in game or at least in description.

- Unlocking new upgrades as you go, and building up your ship was incredibly satisfying.
- Effects and sounds were all on point, only thing missing was screen shake
- I think it was a bit too hard, most waves I spent half of the wave just dodging things since I barely had time to shoot. Would love to see enemy speeds slowed down 30-50%

Overall great gameplay experience, exceptional  idea, and  fantastic aesthetics / audio. Would recommend.

Thank you very much for the detailed review! I agree with you, it was necessary to write somewhere about how to build a ship. Regarding the difficulty, yes, I think the speed of enemies should be reduced.

It has tones of potential as main mechanic, love it.

Think about developing a full version, I believe it can get very interesting with some HUD, SFX and VFX  improves.

Cool, really reminds me of one game I played on phone, when a was smaller

This is a great concept that deserves some more time put into it for sure! The UI is a bit rough so it was hard to figure out what was happening to start with, but once I got into it it was a lot of fun. I think a clearer indication of how your score is affecting what you can buy, or why certain items are available at different times would be good (I had multiple rounds where I couldn't buy a plain block to put a new gun on)

I hope to see more from this concept in future, great work!

Developer

Thank you!

Yeah, I need to work on clarity and tutorial.

I hate to admit how much I enjoyed this game! amazing work! art, music, gameplay and theme are all wonderful. Well done.
I would hope you continue and expand on this concept. more parts, more direct control on attack waves (I noticed there is a point where the screen is overwhelmed by enemies) This is a game I would buy cheap on steam and sink hours in if it had more fleshed out content.

Really amazing work!

Thank you!

I want to make more roguelike mechanics, more equipment and weapons, deeper gameplay, add augmentations.

I like the game
It's quite fun.
The music was a bit repetitive but that's just being nitpicky
What I found annoying was the inability to take a piece off if I misplaced it. Or if I build something I don't like after trying it.
It would be way nicer if you could also take items off and put them again. I think at least after losing a round there should be a chance to revert the last set of changes

I would have also enjoyed having more space to put weapons as the spawn for blocks feels quite scarce. And the difficulty curve ramps up quite a bit, if you build your rocket vertically you lose quite fast.

I also think more snappy control would have felt nicer as I often felt like I couldn't control the rocket.

All in all, I did play quite often and got on top of the leaderboard (for now at least). It's a fun game. Good job!

Thank you very much for the detailed review!

I wanted to do everything you wrote, but I didn't have time. I had Napoleonic plans to add augmentations, more equipment and guns, the ability to reassemble the ship after each flight and make the gameplay deeper by adding additional objects to the levels.

Really interesting game. I couldn't figure out how to attach the guns, but I'm going to come back and try to.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I didn't have time to make a tutorial =(
