Great game! Loved the mood, art and the difficulty of the puzzles. As others have said, the puzzles are quite challenging and I think a hint system/puzzle guide text file would have been useful for the duration of the jam.

I managed to open the door and  would like to know if I got the logic behind the number code right:

SPOILER!!!

Is the solution based on the color sequence in the picture beside the clock, Blue, Red, Green, Yellow?

Blue - Time on the blue clock

Red - Number of red objects? Meaning the red carpets (I'm most unsure about this)

Green - Number of green shelves

Yellow - Number of objects on the shelf with the yellow object

If this is correct, then I felt that the note beside the blue clock was a huge misdirection because it made me believe that the solution would be the time on all of the clocks, but there was only 2.

Glad you finished it! You were right about all the colors except red. The red one is on the note, since the blood on it is red. You can see the order of the code in de painting and what colors you should be looking for. The colors would initially be on the door itself, but I wanted to make it more challening. Turns out that I made it too challenging now xd.

I see, that's why it felt weird that the shade of red on the painting was so different from the carpet. I wonder if allowing the user to interact with the painting to make some remark would have helped.

I really liked the dialogues in the game, also the art was really good! I loved their running animations!

Nice game. We have played a lot of these kind of puzzle games, so have a lot of practise, but actually found the difficulty pretty solid- it was a challenge, but one that could be solved logically rather than relying on luck. The dialogue was really good at capturing the different personalities, and the aesthetics were very good. Did you make the assets yourself?

Developer(+1)

Ty ty! Yes I've made the assets myself, both pixel and line art :D

We thought you had, since the characters were so consistent between the two styles. Really good job!

I really enjoyed the character interactions, and the artstyle is really enjoyable. I love the way the character models bounce in the dialog. The gameplay is genuinely scary and challenging. Overall very strong!

Good game! I love it! All those characters are soooo cute( Especially when they are runing). The chasing part is really hard but finally I made it! Looking for the finished version! :D

Cool game. This is really polished for a game made in 10 days. Well done!

This was really great. Love the art style, sound design, and story. The only part lacking in my opinion is the gameplay. It took a bit too long for the actual game to get started, and I got completely stuck on the last puzzle, not sure if anyone has figured that out. But great start, would love to come back if you plan on finishing it post-jam.

I've really enjoyed with your game! Very good pixelart style, good ambience and very scary moments :)

Got stuck as well with the two puzzles! Give us a clue so we can keep playing! Amazing work, really impressive what you have achieved here, the story, the characters, the art in general, the music and sound effects... I mean everything feels incredible, really polished! I hope to play it to the end someday, keep up the amazing work!

I couldn't get very far in, because there didn't seem to be any way to find out what the passwords were, but that didn't stop me from rating it very high. I really loved the art and sound, the cutscenes were really well-scripted, and the overall mechanics, vibe, and aesthetic of the game was terrific. I'd certainly like to see more from this game, especially in a full version reminiscent of 'Sweet Home' (the Famicom game, not the Netflix series).

People have been telling me they don't know how I did as much as I did for my game in ten days... but I can't even imagine all the art and scripting you had to do for this. The animation and details of the cutscenes are the things I really am most flabbergasted about.

Even though I couldn't get very far in it, I'm pretty sure this is the game I've rated the highest so far.
