The portal-shifting mechanic is such a classic and great one to use for a platformer, and I think the levels demonstrate some of the uses for it well. It gets quite trippy too - I found the level with the V-shaped portals produced some interesting effects! It's cool to see that you were able to come up with a lot of decent puzzles for it!
Thanks for submitting Mirror Terror to the jam!
Really easy to pick up, but hard to master. I liked it a lot:)
Awesome concept! Some levels are a bit challenging (in a positive way).
And I love the pixel artworks!
Nice idea. I got stuck on different points. One was the room with the V mirrors. It may need some level design refinement but the main mechanic is solid.
I had to skip a couple of the levels (6 and 7) because I didn't know how to get past them. But I liked the game's concept and the custom sprites.
I liked the visual of the game and the gameplay! cool. Rate my game it's a masterpiece
Great use of blue/maganta colour palette, smooth movement and nice retro feel to the graphics. Good castle/horror aesthetic.
The level with V shaped mirrors was buggy for me: I was jumping uncontrollably between those mirrors, then after another attempt become stuck under them. Reminds me of Portal.
Thank you for the feedback! I rearranged the level a bit to remove the softlocking part!
Great sprite work and platformer mechanics! It looks really good and plays well.
Solved a few puzzles, but got kind of softlocked in an area where two of those dimension shifting zones are at an angle and you drift towards the middle of them.
Couldn’t finish because I stink at platformers but this is really well made, love the visuals and your mechanic for switching stages is really cool and well done, especially with the colour and tonal shift. My main feedback would be to never totally ignore audio but very good entry.
