Super cute game! Loved the dress up concept. The feeling and lighting were really nice and spooky fun.

Loved the game, the nerd character is awesome( loving comics and rating your accuracy). Mechanics are fun, well thought and the game is so polished. And everything was done basically by one person. The best game in the jam so far.
The visuals are absolutely stunning, simply amazing polish on the game well done!

Great puzzle game, couldn't figure out what to do with the lantern at first. Felt like the next level was tracking me for a second :)
Thank you very much for the comment.
Are you referring to the throwing mechanic? I also want to do some improvements on that. Mainly the item's trajectory should intersect the sight area of an enemy. But I am aware that UI needs to be clearer since I found out a lot of the players are throwing items at the edge of the circle but still inside it, rather than passing the circle and targeting somewhere outside (:
If you have any other comments I would love to hear them. I really want to make this game solid and enjoyable.
I mean throwing 100% needs improvement, I need to see when I'm out of range and not by disapearing indicator. Movement could be more fluent. I think bullies have to big range and sometimes even if you throw candy they still block the way. Maybe they shoul decrease their range while they are eating candy?
The overall quality and polish of the game is astounding. Everything feels cohesive. Your experience shows.
Thank you very much for the great review. You played all the way through to the last mechanic, which is the ghost lantern (: After that, the levels are puzzles of increasing difficulty. Thanks for playing.
I want players to throw things not directly inside the red circles but throw them "through", but to an area outside the circle. This way, the kids will go much further, leaving you a lot of space. But I guess I haven't found the perfect solution yet. I'll keep working on that.
I also learned something very valuable by watching it. Never tested how the game played with the audio off. I'll definetely try that from now on too.
I'm glad the review helped out! One thing I should mention, is if you try to make this game a sellable product (which I believe you could do) you should watch out for trademarked/copyrighted items like the music and costumes you used. Spider man, minnie mouse cosutmes, ghostbusters music. That could potentially led to some legal issues!
really like the concept and gameplay! The art style is good, and it fits with the theme well. Good Job!
Amazing, a perfect mix of fun, hard, great audio, great graphics and perfect level design. Also I loveeeee the character voices, you are definitely getting a five start rating for Audio.
I think you have a great chance of winning. the only problem is that its very easy to glitch through walls and you just have to kill yourself to restart. also the controls could do with some fixing to make them more accurate to where your looking or something.
Thank you very much for the kind comments.
That glitch turns out to be the infamous "corner collider glitch" of Unity :( Looking for a solution. It's a tough physics problem and it haunts many games. I would love to hear ideas for the fix. This is a hot topic on Unity forums but I couldn't find a clean enough solution. Sadly, the unclean solution that I reluctantly implemented is: out of bounds colliders.
I'll definitely improve the mouse look feature, thanks for pointing it out.
This game is sooo fun! I typed a comment on the jam page but everything fits so well. 5/5 game!
Nice game, we both have the same background music, what a coincidence!
