How about a thread to share some shots of work-in-progress games?

Here’s a weird lil bug where a ton of characters all spawn from the same point.

Nice to see that good games are coming :)

Today I was watching a lot of good old demos so I got inspired to create a demo-like menu screen:

Wow! Very slick. I always like to put on old demoscene videos in the background when I really want to get down to some serious hacking.

Yeah! That helps a lot

What do you guys use to make these gifs?

Submitted

Mine are made with byzanz: https://git.sr.ht/~technomancy/tremendous-quest-iv/tree/master/makefile#L68

But I know TIC-80 has built-in gif recording which is pretty handy.

Submitted

Exactly, on TIC-80 you just have to press F9 to record a gif.

Thanks!

Working on my first-ever game jam — so lots of reality checks on how long things take to build. Definitely just going to be submitting a concept more than a game!

I love the mood in your scene! It's also my first game jam, and you're right, I'm trying to rush in this last day...

Love the rain effects!!

I got to the minimal prototype stage, but I finally started to build the beat-em-up I always wanted to experiment with :-)

A little late for in-progress, but just to throw something in...
