  • Pros - Very unique and interesting concept! Got the hang of it quickly. Excellent job! Cons - Seems like constraint was ignored, you don't really have time to make a decision on how you're going to react to what's coming; I got through it by just sending missiles every time and eating the damage.
  • The web version wasn't the easiest, but overall this is a really unique concept and I like the idea for sure. It fit the theme super well as well. Well done on this!
  • This was an interesting take on the game constraint for this game jam. I'm not sure I understand how this fits in the "you are not the main character". I think the graphics (pixel art) and sounds were intriguing and well done. Rhythm/timing based games are tough for me, but it was fun to give the combos a try. I did struggle a bit with timing for the web-based version. I understand the dev adjusted the timing for the .exe, but I did not have time to play it. A solid entry, with an interesting twist on the classic space shooter genre, adding in the rhythm based element.

I have no rhythm and I must scream.

Can't speak to the musical part because I 'm terrible at music games even though I think they're cool.
What I can give useful info on is:
I liked the art! The first alien gave me Evangelion vibes.

with ABXY I could have sworn there was controller support. Would have like arrow keys or WASD to input combos instead if keyboard/mouse.

I'm looking forward to watching the stream of this game so I can see what it's supposed to be like.

Thanks a lot for your feedback ! We chose ABXY to stay on the snes theme but it’s true that without a controller support it’s really hard … We working on a video to show you what the game looks like :)

the timing is flawed honestly

Developer

Hey ! Sorry about that, it’s due to the web version, we just uploaded the .exe now. What do you think ?

Developer

I liked to play the game, got a bit of time to learn how to time the keys.

I think they are a little bit out of time, I will press them a little to late for the game. Maybe it’s the browser, tryed on Opera, but it’s a little nice and good game.

The music that starts playing by combos make it all, I enjoyed to play until the end when I beat the enemy.

Graphics are ok, and are very eye catching. Sure as a complete game can do a lot more

Thanks a lot for your feedback, it’s really appreciated !! For the timing,  It’s due to the web version and we just just uploaded the .exe now to fix that. What do you think about this version ?

I tried the .exe it doesn’t have lag or sort of during the gameplay, I learned the timing in the browser put i felt so much different and good in the downloaded version.

Little bug I found, if you appear to frame lag the music de-sync with the button input system. I want to report also that, but the game is 100% more fluid (for me at least)

Thx for the update, as I said before I really enojoyed playing and listening to the music

I don't think the timing is 100% there. There's somewhat of a delay

Hi, thanks a lot for your feedback! My first answer was wrong and we found out what the issue ! It’s due to the web version and we just just uploaded the .exe now to fix that. What do you think about this version ?

I actually really like the game and thought it was very cool to hear the music constantly evolving. If the delay is fixed then that's my only criticism. I like how all of the sounds are also in key with the music. Reminds me of a mini-game from Rhythm Heaven. Great work! would love more levels!
