One of the most unique and innovative ideas with being able to swap to a 2d platformer however when landing on the planet I lost instantly and I had to restart the game to play again. Models and player movement are great at the sound effects are really good.

This game really surprised me as I wasn't expecting a 2d section, which brings a uniqueness to the gameplay. The only thing is when I die, there isn't any respawn option as I need to exit the game to start it over. Overall, the gameplay and the art style looked great.

Speaking of innovation, wow! A perfect way to go around the stereotypical space shooter scheme. The ability to visit planets definitely makes you look forward to the remaining game.

Thank you for not pushing me all the way back if I die in space >.>
I do keep bugging out in a second planet if I jump on top of the monster, but not like I deserve to continue the game if I touch one :/.  A restart button is always nice to have to give a better feeling of polish, but overall, this must be my favorite game so far as those mechanics definitely sold me.

Loved the idea of this. Playing on a laptop was very difficult so full keyboard options would have been appreciated. I feel like the time remaining wasn't needed as I wanted to mess around a little bit and ran out of time. Upon trying again I'm not sure what happened but after approaching the enemy I was teleported to the spawn and got stuck. Additionally the audio balance was a bit off but some great art and an amazing idea!

A really fantastic concept! The idea of landing on planets and transitioning into a different style of play is incredibly interesting and the pixel art looked great! Really liked the audio although it was a little bit loud.

The issues I ran into were:

  • If you bump into something, it slows you down with no way of regaining your speed which essentially ends the game. Hitboxes seemed a little off and I would lose speed even when it seemed like I hadn't touched anything
  • Each time I landed on the planet I seemed to die instantly even when it seemed like nothing had hit me which was a shame because I wanted to explore it further
  • The ability to return to the menu was nice, but on dying you have to restart the game
  • It was a little hard to tell where you were shooting in space, and the crosshair that does nothing threw me off a bit

Overall, a really great concept that is aesthetically very pleasing, just needs some polish to make it into something really unique!

Just like Jacob, I wasn't expecting something like this. The Combination of 3D into a 2D Is just amazing to see. The 3D game has a nice overheat mechanic which is very unique and overall is pretty good, However, I would work on Hit Boxes and Change the colour of the enemies as they are the same colour as the player. With the 2D game I wouldn't change much other than some balancing in level 2 and general bug fixing. Other than the gameplay being a bit Janky, This is one of the best games i've seen so far, Amazing Job!!!

Amazing game wasn't expecting to see something like this in this Jam. the Sound FX and music are very good and the way you can land on planets is very fun and gives a nice change of pace. I did have a couple of problems though for instance my ship would slow right down if I came in to contact with an enemy ship which would have a knock on effect of the time I had remaining on the planet. I'm not sure how or why but I'm guessing the timer starts the moment you begin traveling in your space ship and the timer should have been started once you were on the planet instead as this would have not only felt a bit better but would have avoided problems like failing as soon as you land on the planet.

Another problem I was having was after I had failed on any planet, there is no way to restart or quit the game so I was being forced to use alt+f4. If these problems were fixed this game would of had 5star everything!

Really nice looking game and i loved the way you incorporated visiting planets.

Had a few issues with obstacles flying through the planet, shooting being a little hit and miss and getting stuck once i died on a planet.

Overall a fun game.

I really like the integration of the 2 differenta kinds of games in the way you are able to visit the planets. The overall theme of the game is really cool and nice art made for it all.

I did however notice a few issues. The aim doesnt seem to go where you are actually aiming, just infront of the ship and when i got hit by a ship the game slowed down a lot until i got hit again.I really like the idea of the weapon overheating, cool balancing feature. Once getting to a planet, i was stuck and had to restart the game after dying. Overall really cool concept.

I like the idea of needing to visit planets as you travel through space. The idea with over heat is a nice balance thing for the game.

However, i feel the shooting reticule is a bit miss leading, with it not shooting where your pointing, but rather just directly infront of the ship.

Also the meteors spawned inside the planet, so when i got close i suddenly received a ton of damage. On the planets surface, i did like the look of the world, but after i jumped over a plant it said i ran out of time and i had to close the game down, leaving me a bit confused.

Love the style of this game, however once you visit a planet and die, you have to close the game to respawn, it would of been nice to see an option to respawn rather than having to close the game.
