The title screen Mystia is so cute that I'm worried for my health. Does the artist post their art somewhere?
On the gameplay side, I would advice against having acceleration/inertia in bullet hells. It works OK here because the patterns are easy.

this game is very scary
very scary
but
the detail of playing as a white (monster (youkai)) soul. it shows expertise. elegance.
So uh. With the game's name + the d i s s o n a n t , o f f k e y music + The game outright starting with the Fishing Rod Koishi thing (triggered my fight-or-flight response btw)... I legit thought it was supposed to be a horror game at first.
The story feels quite random too which... I think that's the dream part of the game I guess? My dreams don't make much sense neither. Anyway, was really convinced it's supposed to be a nightmare. Except nothing much happened lol
I went through the whole first-and-only try unscathed, but my ears were defeated. I cannot put it more kindly but be proud to have found my weakness lol.
Oh yeah. The art is freaking gorgeous! Soothing kind of stuff!
I really liked the undertale-y part. The draggy movement, the forgiving hitbox, it all bought actual difficulty in nearly all fight phases
"You wanna start fighting over something stupid?" was funny
An issue I felt was that the whole vibe of the game was being miscommunicated by all of its individual parts.
1. The music, on its own, gave a very "eerie" vibe to the game.
2. The art, however, was, well, not-eerie
3. and the the UI being unpolished didn't help
That being said, all these elements were bringing something to the experience
Cheers!
A cool concept mixing visual novels with bullet hells. Though the patterns could use a bit of colour to make them more interesting.
