I really like this concept. It was a lot of fun.
interesting
That was really nice. Took me quite some time to get through too but wasn't frustrating at all. The floating mechanic fits the theme very well. I kinda wish there was a clever way to apply the shrinking - maybe enemies shooting at you through a narrow hallway or some puzzles related to weight? Difficult.
I really like the artwork for the doors and statues as well.
Overall a well polished game for the 3 hours of dev time :)
Pretty neat. Definitely felt like an "empty world". Does "jam version" imply you're just getting started working on this?
I'm glad you liked it! And yes I would eventually like to flesh out the story, add a few more levels, and try to get get some music to complete the feel of the game. As a separate release/page.
The theme is really strong in this vvvvvv-like. Especially how you handle the empty space is great. The player can't always see where they are going and that adds to the tension. What will I encounter around the next corner? It really got me.
My only gripe is that I am playing on Mac and don't have such a thing as a „middle mouse button“ and had give up. Do you have a workaround?
I'm really glad you enjoyed playing the game and got the atmosphere I was going for! And yes that was an oversight on my part. You can use either The Middle Mouse Button or E to Shrink. Thanks for letting me know.
It is so awesome that you were able to make this in 3 hours! You even did animation on the rescued people breaking out of their blocks! Very nicely done!
