very good
Pretty cool! The patterns are hard to understand all at once, but it'd be pretty hard to add a good tutorial and stay under the time limit.
Nicely done. I like the Pico 8 art and how it makes you feel like your playing a lost Atari game. It does take a moment to learn the controls but once you get how to play it becomes very interesting.
Nice job!
GREAT job! Your pixel art reads well and I enjoyed the gameplay. It feels like you picked the right tools to complete this project on time.
Thank you! Yes, Pico 8 is a great engine for doing a Trijam.
This is a really excellent entry. A little hard to understand at first but once you wrap your head around the mechanics it becomes super interesting. Amazing for three hours work!
Took me a momemt to understand the mechanics but when I got it was really fun. I cleared around 10 levels I think? A really well polished experience and fits the theme well too. When you finally have the plants cornered and you just eradicate the leftovers it's a little tedious but dividing and conquering the garden as a whole is nice.
I really like the visuals too - although I am not sure I got it right that "bigger plant means more food" is correct.
Thank you! Only the wheat and the apple trees provide food for now. Each plant has different characteristics regarding growth, mutation possibilites and food. I am sure there are a lot of opportunities for balancing left . But what can one accomplish in three hours :D
Very cool game! A bit tricky to understand but that's good! Well done
