The art style is so cute but also just weird enough to fit the theme. It's surprisingly challenging. If I had to make a suggestion I'd say try to pick a font that fits the art style better, and maybe construct a little back story / lore, even if it's just in the itch page description. :)

Developer

Yes, although we had planned to do more in terms of lore and composition, the three hours did not give us enough time for everything XD

That's why we gave the game that name, so that the context would be understood. hahaha

Thank u so much for your feedback! ♥

No doubt it would have been harder if the kids from right to left could have been potential targets, too – but that it is currently fixed to the left-to-right direction does feel rather like a cop-out than a solution. Now easy way would have been to change the orientation in the WANTED picture accordingly. And later in a 2nd stage don’t offer that service, while the targets can still come from both directions.  2–3 more facial expressions would have been nice to encounter – but sure, time constraints are absolutely a thing. Beside that, charming entry, and nice choice in the audio section (btw, music credits?) – hey, maybe total surveillance isn’t that dystopic after all?! :)

Developer(+1)

totally, initially the targets came from both directions, but a terrible bug caused by my lack of experience caused the target to mismatch if they spawned from two places, so I decided to do this.

In the future I want to redo it and see how I could have done it with more time and learn from my mistakes, thanks for the feedback.

As for the music I'm going to put it on the game page when I design it.

Thank you very much for the feedback!!

Oh, I see! Yes, those 3 hours don’t leave much time for additional bug hunting – after all, a species notorious for its boundless time appetite. :) Anyway, an entry that is very well fitting the theme and also really charming. Well done!

Developer(+1)

That bug still gives me nightmares hahaha, thanks a lot for the appreciation ^w^

PS: I've already designed the game page, with the credits of everything we've used :)

I like the art style on this one, it's very cool how most of the people are completely different. It's fun looking around finding the wanted one. Good Job.

Developer

Thank you very much!

We wanted to make them all different but with similarities so that it could fool the player XD

All the art stuff was made by @hghostt She is very talented to have done this in 3 hours with me :D

Relaxing colors, nice art style, chill atmosphere, its guuud !
You basically look for the target, so it fits the theme perfectly. Impressive for 3 hours !

The only issue i have is that, after reaching score 5, the target takes so much time to appear, in that time other figures pass through in very small quantities compared to the first couple of levels. Like at some points only 3 are on screen, which makes the player just set there and wait. But again, maybe thats just me.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much!

Actually they always appear every 3 seconds, but when going faster, it feels like they take longer because there is less on screen. I was planning to increase the rate of appearance but I didn't have time.

thank you very much for your feedback ♥

Love the chill atmosphere, the music, the art style gave me an Animal Crossing villager vibe.

I was also tricked a few times because of the similarities of the characters!  xD

I'm curious about how would the game change if everything was faster and/or crouded, maybe it could be a dynamic "Where's Waldo?" , who knows

Developer(+1)

Thank u very muuch!! ♥

The idea was to increase the appearance rate but we were already close to three hours so we decided to leave it at that.

Thank you very much for your comment and appreciation. ^w^

Really nice , i really like the art .
I think that in some playthough you wait quite a bit for the target to appear .
Great job.

Developer

there is a 30% target appearance rate, but yes, sometimes it can take a while haha, thank you for the feedback and comment!!

Great art, very smooth and a little animation too boot!

Good idea to increase the rate, and then slow back down when a miss occurs. (Though clicking the wrong one only gives -1, but missing the person entirely sets you back to 0. – Was this intentional?)

Also while it does speed up, there are less people on screen, so that almost makes it easier – for better or worse.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your comment!

Yes, the reset to 0 if it escapes is intentional, I had planned to put a screen with instructions but there was no time.

I was also planning to increase the flow of appearance but I preferred to leave it like that and reach the three hours of the challenge.

not gonna lie i felt that the game is a little too slow and it takes forever for the wanted person to get on the screen

Developer

We had planned more things like increase the rate of appearance, but due to an unexpected bug we had to sacrifice that functionality to get the game dev time into three hours. Maybe after the jam, I will finish polishing those aspects.
