I love the background art and the thought put into the story.
I never managed to make the last jump on the first level with the birds, so I just cheated and watched the video. Thoughtful of you to provide one!
Thank you!!
I feel like the music was a little harsh, but that's a really nice story and ending!
Thanks for the feedback!
I really love the art style—it's very engaging and fun! Great work!
Thank you!!
The game is cool but it´s almost imppossible to play because of the collisions. I tried to finish the game a loooot of times, and I get close (2 rooms before the end). Very cool visuals and I like a lot you´ve time to introduce a little story ^^.
Thanks for the feedback! I realized way too late that those collisions were way too unfair for the player. Glad that you were still able to get pretty far into it though!
Using your video I was able to try (a lot of times), hehe. I always try to enterely play and comment all the games of a jam where I submit projects because all people are spending hours to make a "cultural object" (videogame).
Both the player and the enemy collisions are too big, it makes things more difficult.
Not a fan of the music.
Art is quite good, im curious if you made it yourself or if it's an asset pack.
The game feels like it's more about descending rather than climbing to the top.
I made all the art except for the animated sprites which were from the default assets in the game engine. The player actually descends in the first half and then climbs up in the second half of the game in order to symbolize their journey from despair to optimism. Thanks for the feedback!
It's a pretty good game. I liked the gameboy styling and the music. It was difficult for me to complete the game due to enemy collisions, but despite this I was able to complete the game.
Thanks for the feedback and glad to hear that you were able to beat it despite the collisions!
