Very interesting concept, I really wish the puzzles were a bit more complex. The only one that gave me trouble was the 4-monster, 4+1 collectible one (i guess a level counter would have helped here). The game mechanic definitely has potential, but of course very difficult to unlock it in the 3 hours time window. I liked the music, and visuals were cute too. The last puzzle felt like an "experience", as it was rather easy but still felt like it was the relaxing moment after a full day of work. Great work!

The game is super cool! I love the way your player animates as it moves. A lot of polish in this game for the 3 hr time window! Great work!

Developer

We're glad you liked it! Thank you!

Godot makes it really easy to animate like this using Tweens hehe, but yeah, we tried our best to make "everything" move to the beat someway or another. I'm really happy you noticed and liked it!

really awesome game, i like the idea and the design, i clipped out the map at the end but its still a pretty awesome game

Developer

Haha yeah! The way I developed wall collision is that we check if there's a wall on the next "move".

On the rush we forgot to but walls in some places heh. Thank you for the feedback!

This was almost a stressful experience! Luckily I managed to always stay one step ahead of the enemy. I liked figuring out more about how the enemies move and how I move as the game progressed, such as realizing I didn't need to keep pressing the keys. I appreciated how the BPM of the music increased, along with the pitch. I think it could have gotten even faster to make it more intense, or maybe that's something to save for more levels if you make them.

My favorite was the last spiral level,  which was more of a meditative labyrinth than a puzzle. I got to hear more of the music track and enjoy the flow.

Glad you liked it!

The game really could use some more levels, but alas, that's TriJam, never enough time hehe.

Since we didn't had too much time to balance we ended up prefering to make it a little bit easier.

Funny puzzle, but I did not catch the rythm component. I seem to be able to play just by giving the direction I want to go to, independently of any rythm.

Nice to have extended the pacman theme, also.

Developer

Your character moves automatically to the rythm, you just choose the direction it'll move.

So you can freely change directions, but the movement is forced by the bpm!

Sim, somos brasileiros haha.

A really interesting approach. At first, I thought the evil thing follows the path of the player in the last level but later realised it's not. This a really cool concept to have intricate puzzles. The puzzles you currently have feel too easy and straightforward. consider making it a bit tougher.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Glad you liked our idea.

Yeah, the puzzles ended up being too easy. We didn't had time (heh, obviously) to think too much about the puzzle designs so we prefered to make them easier, the game really could use some more intricate puzzles :(

Hehe, like you pointed out, our games are very similar, so of course your theme fit is 5/5! Especially loved the snap in your movement animation, really sells the rythm theme.

Developer

Thanks!
Yeah, great minds think alike haha.
We tried to make everything move to the beat somehow. Wish we tough about making the background flash like you did in your game.

Thanks for the feedback.
