Too long. It gets repetitive at some point. Great music though.

Its a bit hard to reach platforms with a tight jump but apart from that, its a fun game to play

Still cant get over the yelling :D Now, lets ask the most important old question, why is the queen a security? What happened to her king? Is he the one plotting against the queen with his pawns? Definitely need a game theory video on the lore of this game.

This is the second game that made me play again and again. Its a simple concept but very engaging. Ending was a bit underwhelming but everything else is great.

There is a small collider on top of the character, Sometimes what happens when jumping is that the force of landing makes the character sink  bit and rise back up but during that sinking phase, the collider touches the water and the player drowns. I found this bug after submitting and hence didn't have time to fix this bug. Thanks for the feedback, I'll try to make it easier in future developments.

It loaded. Its really fun to dodge the spells. the switching modes can be made better if mapped to some keys

How do i get past the splunked thing?

Next installation of the tax fraud skeleton series: Bone marrow commits tax fraud :D...

Only one level? Or am I missing a key to go to next level?

Fun to play but the screen size is too big. I can't see the entire game in one piece, I had to scroll. Also, the swinging is a bit confusing but fun if you get the hang of it (no pun intended). I got stuck on level 2 while swinging, a release button would be better.

This is a really good concept. To turn a simple game on to its sides... Can't believe you really coded an entire chess engine in like  5 hours of coding. It is really impressive that you did this in such a short amount of time. It is a bit hard to play on a laptop due to the vertical nature of the game but apart from that, its really fun to play.

Fun to play but feels a bit of a stretch on the theme. But I can see how this can be interpreted under this theme. Fun to play though. One bug I found is that, the tiger could go over the bunny sometimes, the tiger and the bunny takes the sae place, not sure if it is intentional though.

It's fine that you were unable to complete it as long as you have a fun time learning

Fun concept but a rookie mistake. You mentioned the Queen as the King. Queen is invincible until you kill all the pieces. Also, the black king can move outside the chess board.

The game doesn't load. How do I fix it?

A really interesting approach. At first, I thought the evil thing follows the path of the player in the last level but later realised it's not. This a really cool concept to have intricate puzzles. The puzzles you currently have feel too easy and straightforward. consider making it a bit tougher.

The camera feels too close to the player, I feel like I'm going to no-clip out of reality every time the meteor(I assume) hits me. the hit boxes are a bit too big too. make it a bit smaller. Another suggestion to fix the camera too close problem is to give an indication or warning sign if something comes towards us from outside the camera. This is really good for a 2 and half an hour development. Keep working :)

The learning curve between 1 and 2 is so hard. Don't really know how it fits the theme though. Good concept for a speed-running game though. Also, its really funny that you cant use R. Keep it that way even if do a full release

BEST AUDIO EVER THOUGH...

AAAAHHHHHHH. HOW DO I PUT IT IN THE BOX. I'M SO STRESSED WITH THE SOMEONE TELLING ME TO DO IT...

Good game but I'm pretty sure, the player walks off the floor if you move towards the right of the screen

I love how if you esc the game, it just says no

OMG The best fast paced game I've ever played for a game jam. I would love for you to develop more of this game. Its really fun to bait them and go. One thing is the art style, it looked a bit blurry, idk if its intentional but try and make it a bit better. You could actually do a full release of this game.

The art is really good and the postprocessing for this storyline is nearly perfect.

but, I found a few oversights.

  • Esc might be a bad option to close Interaction menu as it minimises the full screen instead of closing the interaction.
  • The gameplay feels quiet complex, This it at least in my opinion, A fun tutorial section for the defence might be better.
  • Mapping the interaction to something like E or Q might be better to reach instead of Z. (Thus is not really a problem, just an preference.

Apart from that, its a really good game, especially for a 4 hr development.

Thank you for your feedback. I had no time to play test hence, I didn't realise they were tough. I'll try to make it easier in future developments

It's a really awesome platformer, especially for a solo dev.

I hope my request didn't come across as rude or discouraging. I truly value your skill and understand the need to foster a good community. Thank you for understanding.

Hi. It's wonderful to know about you and your 10+ years of experience. It is very important for anyone interested in game development to come together. When I say game development, I meant all components, a programmer, music or art designer etc. But to keep this community as best as possible, I ask you not to promote yourself in the community tab. Feel free to find teams using the community tab though. We will soon create a discord server for such promotions. Thank you 😊

Considering the title of this jam, should the game contain penguins?
