Episode description
I used multiple episodes of the series to inspire the different areas of the game. Most evident are the cave combat and the mountain fights

I used one tree that I had made before

Awesome game, really highly polished and very cool take on the show! Thanks for creating this you should all be proud!
We're much more happy to see folks like you giving our game a try! That's what it's all about.
A lot of good things in this game : clean gameplay with diffrents interactions, great arts and lively environments.
Just one drawBack : the position of the chekpoints. When you die regulary and you came bake to life before the difficult bit you finally manage to pass, it's quite frustrating.
Sorry about the checkpoints... I could indeed have made more but my code is soo messy that it became very difficult to do them. So I made only a few before I had to submit.
Excellent game all round... great art, fluid animation, solid game gameplay, catchy music, varied and creative level designs! Well done indeed! :D
Thanks!
That's a PRO game!! great great great!
Thanks! Appreciated!
I'm so bad at fighting! I still wasn't able to defeat the enemies after the fallig sequence. But I'll keep on trying - and what I've seen so far: Lovely + brilliant!!!
Thanks for trying the game! All I can suggest is run and slash as much as you can and search bushes for hearts :)
Truly an incredible experience, amazing job! Cutting the bushes to find hearts was a really nice touch of polish.
Unfortunately for me the game just crashed after the side scrolling bit (which was really cool!) and I had to force quit the game. Not sure how much was after that, but I really enjoyed it up to that point!
Ah man... I'm sorry for that. That last level has some performance issues and can be a bit demanding on a computer. I did very little (or no) optimization and that might have just ruined the experience for you. I'm truly sorry for that.
This is absolutely outstanding. Everything about the game feels incredibly polished. Amazing job!
Cheers! I think I actually spend too much time polishing and too little playtesting... Must reconsider my scheduling in the future :)
This is great! Love the art and iso view, good music and fun mechanics. Really enjoyed playing through this - well done!
Glad you liked it! That's the whole purpose of this game thing :)
Great work, and hard to imagine pulling off this much in a jam!
It was either this or black mirror. I thought Samurai Jack would be so much more fun though :)
I wouldn't say that its a roguelike but this was really great stuff!
A minor quip - when you are stationary the sword swings aren't as quick as if you're just running about. Died quite a few times to the ambush at the waterfall base until I realized this. Also, I realize that the platforming in an isometric space is a little challenging. Otherwise, great level design, cool sequences and awesome artwork. Fantastic!
Thanks for checking out my game! Yes... Slashing is different when running. Also, jump slashing is different. It's all made to make the player move as quickly as possible and not stand still. The whole game is made for action rather than precision. But I guess it's not for everyone.
This is a good game in pretty much every aspect, especially the art
Thanks!
I liked it? No, better: I LOVED IT! Man, I litterally spent more than half a hour playing this game. I've always been a Samurai Jack fan and I kinda miss the flash-games that were available on Cartoon Network's Website. I wasn't really happy on how the platforming section felt, but I think that's on my keyboard, gotta play it with my controller.
Loved it, loved it, loved it! Thank you for developing this.
They still have them.
but it's called Cartoon Network GAMES
They do? Cool, thanks Cento
Thanks for checking out our little game! Much appreciated!
wow :-) this is *perfect*
hardly... but thanks for the kind words!
This game is awesome!
cheers
Man, this was super good. Art and game feel were great, music was on point too. Loved all the variation in scenes and types of play - falling and underground shadow section were a nice touch. Minor comment - wasn't too sure what my overall objective as the character was since i've never seen the show, other than to slash everybody (which was fine with me because it was fun). Amazing work!
The fundamental part of this game is how fast you can mash the slash button... Not much, I realize, but can be considered fun :)
Great work, the game looks and feels amazing! All the music and art is amazing! I love the falling sequence
Cheers! I was very close to not including the falling sequence but then decided to waste a day on it. I'm glad you liked it!
We're all so lucky you wasted a day on it :)
Wonderfull work, i love the art style, very consistent, and thanks for keep the hype up you did on the developing process.
Thanks! Hype is very dangerous...
I LOVED watching the development process of this on Twitter. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game with its unique art style and mechanics. Well done!
Thanks for the kind words! Really appreciated!!!
Loved it... Tell me the game engine you guys used
I think I answered you already in the game page's comment section. But just in case you are not the same person, the game was made with Godot. I used the 3.1 Beta 3 version.
he's the same guy
Beautifully done. Imaginative game play. The falling sequence was inspired.
