Our games are quite similar in many expects. So it was interesting to me to see some other executions about a similar idea. For my taste the second half of the game felt something too stretched. But that is maybe a personal preffer. As you could see in my game, I am a fan from getting to the point :D However enjoid it a lot. And woul love to see more games like this

Thanks, I do agree that mine drags too much at the end, my original idea was to have it end almost immediately after the "twist" but I suppose after spending so long getting the dialogue system working I felt the need to add more to it. I should have kept it short and sweet. After watching the playthrough of yours it proves the point, I think yours is perfectly paced and I to like the different take on the same idea.
I loved this! Art was super fun to look at, and of course the twist presented a somewhat different... "Adventure," haha.
***SPOILERS***
Btw, I also encountered the Starfish/nothing happening after issue. Thing was, I kept going up to the fellow inmate BEFORE the Crab and I prompted his dialogue early-nothing happened. But when the Starfish said his piece, I think the game thought the Inmate already did his thing, so the music changed and I was stuck in the cell. I'm Youtube-ing what I can from the Jam so I can show you what I encountered when I post the vid!
Yep, so I'm definitely a monster. I also couldn't progress at first, I had to refresh the game a few times. I thought the twist was really funny! Great job :)
Hey there i love the art but i have the same problem as talamander. I couldnt progress at all :(
Thanks, glad you liked it! I would highly recommend Godot, I only had a little experience with Python before trying it and it's been an absolute pleasure, quick, logical, clean and the documentation is so helpful. I can only speak to making 2D games with it but I hear the 3D is also great. Best of all its completely open source so no fees/royalties or features locked behind a "premium" paywall.
I'm not a big fan of story tellers but, I'm a big fan of pixel art xD the art is amazing !!!
