Awesome game! It has a very cool and unique concept and it is really fun to play. The sound effects are pleasant to listen to and the art is very nice and simplistic. It's also super innovative and relevant to the theme! :D
Great job! (:
Awesome!
Would be nice to have a screen summarising the score and some more variety.
I also wonder how this would play out no a mobile device.
At first I didn't think the controls we good. But it ended up being alot of fun. Nice.
I like the idea alot. However the controls are (perhaps intentionally) difficult. For a more intuitive version maybe the guns could simply rotate with left & right/A & D.
They say that aiming two guns at the same time is impossible. They are right.
I really like the idea, aswell as i need a second head to manage two guns at once : D. Autshoot is super fun.
Cool idea! I couldn't buy upgrades on my macbook (guessing it's because i don't have a numpad?) and I wonder if the controls would be cleaner with a line of sight and simple rotation rather than the crosshairs? Since the bullet just continues in a straight direction either way. Would love to see this developed more with more enemy variety, good job!
Way too hard ! Way too fun ! A really nice way to interpret the game and to play with the brain. It's a little bit too much when you have to press key to buy upgrade (and the fact that you loose so much money at each hit T_T) but it's really enjoyable ! Just need a catchy music and it's a hit
BTW just want to say it's not as hard as it seems my highest score while playtesting this was 10000
Edit: just got 15000
Really Cool game and literally proves it is impossible to aim at the same time with 2 guns
Well at first I thought it was near impossible as well, but then I basically forced myself to get better and I got used to it after a couple minutes, I didn't want to ditch the idea because it was already too late, I was worried about it being too hard and even added a difficulty ramp where the game would not speed up until you're able to buy a upgrade, unfortunately I didn't have enough time to balanced the game out more, but over all I'm still very proud of it.
Well your hand eye skills have to be really good for this game if you want to play it
Near impossible to aim two guns? well I think this proves THAT. Fin concept but I am not worthy haha

As you should be! I totally get the balancing thing, I really wanted to do a tweaking session on the levels but totally ran out of time.
I actually like it! At first I thought the concept was way too hard, as I couldn't hit any, but slowly as I began to play more and more I found that I got a lot better and started to hit at least 1 every single round, and then I finally had a climax where I hit 2 at once! Still, I think the guns might have done better if they fired faster-- I liked how they fired automatically, but many many times I felt cheated when I had them both aimed but the enemies were too close for the guns to fire in time. Overall a good concept.
(I found that I when the WASD reticle was on the left side and the Arrow Keys reticle was on the right side, I actually was able to play much better, so maybe a new version could have 2 seperate screens controlled side-by-side as to make it more cognizable. Or not!)
Interesting idea! It's similar to mine actually, the idea of controlling two weapons at once to fight back a swarm. I found myself confused by the UI though. I eventually realized the number in the bottom right corner was the time left, but the other two I didn't know what they were. I figured one of them was probably the score but couldn't really tell.
Some suggestions: 1) I would've liked the colliders for the guns to be a bit smaller. Often I felt like I should've gotten them because they weren't quite touching me. Also programming in that little bit of leeway in different places helps make games more satisfying (imo). 2) Might want to experiment with manual control of firing the bullets. It was frustrating sometimes when then gun would shoot just before I had them lined up and it often felt out of my control. For example you could have the spacebar fire both guns and when they're ready to fire again (same delay as now) it makes a little click sound or something like a reload.
Congrats on your first game!
I was trying to go for the arcade look so I didn't really want to cram the UI, I will probs find some way to specify, the firing thing was also something I did struggle a lot with during playtesting, I just couldn't really figure out a way to completely solve it, but I try your idea out
