How does your game apply the limitation (and optionally, the theme)?
Limitation: You work in a cafe that is owned by "The Boss." Theme: the time you have to deliver an order gets stricter, based on how much time was left over on previous orders; a valid strategy is to wait to deliver an order, perhaps until the last second, thus "On the Edge" of failing.

Got to 100 orders filled! I think I can play indefinitely from here, or at least for a long time - I think the difficulty could be scaled to get harder more quickly. Holding a stack of food and being able to serve from any point in the stack ends up having interesting consequences - I ended up maintaining a huge stack so I could serve new customers quickly. It's also amusing to have such a big stack on top of a small robot, haha. Artistic carpets. Wish there was a trash can to dispose items, especially when my stack was small and I was learning to play the game, but it's also kind of nice not having one.
"comically large stack" was definitely intended
Really enjoyed this one, the art style and general theme especially! My only criticisms would be that there's no way of putting down what you're holding (so sometimes I was forced to wait for someone to want what I had), and also navigating became tricky with all the collidable objects. Besides this, I had a great time!
I think this is great, I love all the pixel art. I'm happy that I can grab and drop off the food from any angle as long as I'm close enough. Is the only difference in levels the amount of customers or timers? Maybe it could start with less food and that grows as well.
Overall, great game!
really liked the game although it would make it better if the camera didnt move and saw the hole map instead to make it easier to see what the customers want. also i didnt understand what i was supposed to do at first but when i understood what i had to do it was fun
I like that I can stack orders. Makes the game more strategic and you can plan your moves. Very good job!
That's kinda fun!
I like the concept, the art is cute even if it could be improved and the core gameplay is neat.
I would recommend you to review the colors tho, the lil robot doesn't stand out of the background/ground.
I found very cool that you can stockpile items on the robot so you can deliver multiple things at once, that's nice.
Difficulty is increasing rapidly, and you're quickly becoming on the edge of failing for sure :D
Ha thats a nice one :D It was a little bit frustrating if customers spawn in your way and you don`t get the order done, but i played quiet a few minutes and was figuring out of string an item on my head is sensefull or not. Well done. Nice feedback aswell. well done :)
Umm... One second it tells me boss is pleased i close the thing then it immeditaly says he is displeased and game-over? Bug!?
Doesn't sound like a bug. You delivered enough orders to make the time stricter, then immediately failed the last order right after.
Nice job on the game! I gotta agree with some of the comments below, something about a food game just hits. I was a little confused on the items as some look very similar, playing in small screen though so it could just be that. nice job
give mine a shot when you get a chance https://itch.io/jam/vimjam2/rate/1200495
this game was cool ... I dont now what is up with games of food delivery they allways work, gess because they are familiar with what we usually all like, food
It's nice and fun. There are moments when you can't walk between tables because people block the path even when they're still appearing, if it's intentional to make it harder then good job, it is.
Awesome!
I'm always on the enge and I hate my boss.
Graphics are cute, music is catchy and I dunno I just love it!
