I really like the game. The art's good, the gameplay mostly works, and the voice acting gives off a palpable Worms energy.
...though I found it frustrating that the cost for buildings went up as you built more of them and didn't go back down when they were destroyed. Since the enemies seemed to be targeting my foodshrooms, this became shroompire-destroyingly frustrating very quickly.
(And, you know, game jam jank.)
The game is good and it is fun. and I have to say it is very imperssevie that you did all the systems yourself!
It's quite a complex game for been build by one person, very impressive.
I like city builders so I enjoyed this one a lot, my recommendation is to find a way to make the UI easier to read and undertand, here's my recommendations:
1. Show recommended buildings when your mouse is above a tile.
2. keep a tool bar of buildings that you can apply.
Interesting game, i like this colorful mushroom theme and the character. You had time to create and implement all these voice acting as well in time. This is more like tower defending than and regular rts-game, because the enemies coming in regular waves and you have to more manage your settlement than to react things very fast. I like how there are many different variations of interesting mushroom buildings to player needs. You have more things added here than i though there would be time enough to get implement to rts type of game.
Edit: moving map with keyboard keys and having a minimap would be great. Also having a standard grid-based building would be fun, maybe with some solid walls too! This is enjoyable and fun game indeed.
Very cool game! The controls could be a bit more user friendly, for instance, the camera being a big one. I really enjoyed the game overall and the sound effects were on point.
nice game! it took a while to get the hang of it , the graphics and music is good, and good interactivity for the player, overall I enjoyed playing, keep it up!
fun game idea wasnt sure what i was supposed to do at first tho
A nice mix of a city building and tower defense.
Was cool.
Props for making an rts and balancing it. I could not steamroll so some thought was behind it (or I am bad). You have also added sounds and made a really nice soundtrack. The controlls were janky, there could be more indication where the buildings can be placed (it felt somehow random). Also I am pretty sure I broke the game a couple of times because I could buy things I coudl not afford. Lastly - the font was not readable at times and in an rts game information about the state is very important.
I couldn`t agree more. I overscoped so hard, my brain exploded and how can be seen: little time was left for UI, fonts and even texts. Poor management. And i tried to build in catch up and hold back machanisms to prevent snowballing. But as one can see on one of the screenshots, with the right build - order, it is totaly doable. Thx for your feedback! :D
This is a very cute game! If you do not pay attention to one thing, it just rolls like a snowball. Yes it is a bit difficult to stand up for all the voices as someone who suffers a bit from lack of concentration and can get confused. Say whoever plays a lot in games like this:D
Good game! I love the minor details that help make the game more intuitive like the exclamation points on top of the recommended buildings. I felt that those small aspects helped add a sense of structure to how the player starts playing the game. Great Job!
Nice game. It take some time to learn how things works. Some feedback to focus on what makes you loos would be great. Great job.
Thx! :D The shrooms start telling you, if your food gets low. And in the endscreen is written that you lost because of low food. I can enhance that in a future version.
Cool game! Very creative! Good job!
