Thank you for that first line in the description! I almost gave up, but really wanted to see more of the game, learning that core mechanic was key to success with the boss fight. It would have been better if the in-game tutorial had given me that advice though. I'm sure you know that now, that's why you added it to the description.
This was a fun, short jam romp and battle. I think the player feels a little too floaty. I'd find myself wanting to get into the action, but was still waiting to return to the ground.
Some more clear feedback on when I was damaging the boss would be great too. I noticed it did kick out those "blam" sort of outlines when I was hitting it, but more audio feedback, or even a classic flash of white on the enemy.
Respect for the own noise diversifier. I liked the grunts and oomphs when jumping and punching.
Solid entry for a solo dev. Fun little experience and just odd enough to keep me wanting to explore. Well done.
Thanks for the feedback! I've definitely learned a lot about the need for feedback from this jam, and I'm glad I'm not the only one that calls those blams (that's their actual in-game title). There's also a nasty squishing noise whenever you hit an eye, but I think I might not have made it noticeable enough.
An extremely odd experience. I think that was your aim, so nicely done!
The animations felt a bit sluggish. I think it would be more satisfying to punch if the fist really snapped forward.
The tutorial was good. It took me a while to find the button on the ceiling, but that was a good way of teaching me that I can launch myself into the air.
GG!!!!!!!!!
Great models, felt creepy too! My computer kind of freaked out walking into the boss room, but it was pretty cool and reminded me of Bongo Bongo! Good job overall
Got through to the end! I enjoyed it, although I think it could do with a bit better indication as to whether I'm meant to attack the hands or directly go to the eye. In the end I was shooting for them for a long time before I noticed the lock switches.
Still, it grabbed me enough to see through to the end!
nice game!
really cool game idea i like the way you implemented the theme although the mechanics were a little off
I didn't felt alone while playing this game because of all the sound effects. how eye-ronic.
The sound effects itself is rewarded with a 5/5 music/sound effect rating.
The controls were a litte slow looking up and down.
And got really fast once looking in the middle of the first boss (Now, I only tested the Html5 version), feels like DeltaTime could fix this issue.
Otherwise it was a fun game, and again. Sound effects were on point!
I'm glad you enjoyed the sound effects! My wife/ friends thought I was making noises as they play-tested, but I think they turned out really well. I have no clue what could have caused the change in looking speed, but I do know I lowered the up/down sensitivity at the last second and should have confirmed it was good. Thanks for playing!
Those sound effects dude haha, well done. It's a good entry. I would have enjoyed a little music in the background but that's fine.
Despite this, the sprint is waaaaaay to fast in my opinion, and the jump super floaty. It's kinda hard to tell if you hit something or not if you're not listening to the sound effects.
The first room was a bit hard to leave because I didn't think there was something to hit on the roof, maybe put a lil indication so the player will check that :)
Thanks for playing! I'm a bit scared to do music again after my last game jam, but I'm glad people are enjoying the noises I was able to make recording myself!
i have no clue what im supposed to be doing
If you're stuck in the first room, you can hit both of the glowing red eyes to turn them green and unlock a door that will slide open. To hit the eye that is higher up, hold down right click and then hit left click to do a sort of charged punch that launches you in the direction you are facing. I made this area as an attempt to just not launch someone into a boss fight.
