Really fun boss fight. The Art looks so good that even though the boss has bigger pixels, it still fits in. The Music provides a good mood for the fight. All the SFX really sell the impacts of what's happening. The Boss is a good amount of challenging, never felt unfair when I took damage as it felt like it was caused by my own doing or lack of skill. I don't really have anything to critique other than wanting a bit more out of this game. Great work!

Beat it! Awesome game! The wall jump and attack look and feel great, and there was some really cool stuff you did with the boss attacks! Was that using sequences? Just very cool and smooth animation. Excellent work!
I had to use a state machines for the golem moves because the golem's hands could collide so I need to track it's speed. (I am not sure if it's the best way tho. but I think it turned out fine)

Big Chungus ... excellent install name. I had a blast with this game and wish you'd been able to get an HTML build in so more jammers could experience it. Your in-game tutorial was really well executed and I appreciated all the little touches, like the scene that kicks off the boss battle and reinforcing the edge requirement. Though I do wish I didn't have to repeat it after every death, would rather jump right back into fighting.
I did find one bug. The right fist punched me all the way through the left wall and I had to initiate the boss fight again, but I still had the single heart damage from taking the hit. I tried to get it to happen again, but I just got knocked against the wall like normal.
I like the minimalistic art style. It's cohesive and helped keep me focused on the gameplay. Overall, great game and a fun no frills romp. Perfect jam entry. Great work, team!

Didn't expect the in-game tutorial is getting this much good feedbacks, It was literally made in about 10 minutes in hurry.
Sadly, I do not own the web export. I am kind of debating whether getting it or switch to godot or unity( as I realize web export is a bigger deal than I thought :/ )

This is a really neat little game! The graphics were cool (I especially appreciated the animation for when sliding down a wall), and the movements/attacks felt snappy. The audio cues were great, as well!
I'd probably second the other comment that mentions that the lava is pretty hard to get back out of; wall-climbing would probably be really helpful if it was a little easier to do. Also, I found it rather difficult to avoid the side-swiping hands; since they're just barely tall enough to jump over, if you get it in an awkward height of too tall to jump over and too low to run under, it's very hard to avoid. Maybe I just need to up my skills, haha, but it's maybe a bit difficult for a game jam.
All in all, great work! The core of this is really solid. I'd be excited to see if this is developed further!

Cool game ! The animations were pretty cool, that impact effect was pretty satisfying and those Boss attacks were cool with good signalling. I had to quit before the end tho, since the very last part felt more about luck that anything with a lot of unavoidable attacks, wit the very small platform there was often roof pieces at the same time as a laser and the boss hand would move slightly up just when I was about to jump to it being my only escape, I reached that part with full HP multiple time and still got destroyed every time, would have been manageable if the hands were not wobbling and were easier to jump to.
That being said excellent game, was very fun to learn the boss paterns and try to master the combat.

Great game! Very nice art and animations, well implemented mechanics, everything feels great. I love the ingame tutorial. I like the boss mechanics and the warning before the lasers. Andit's cool that the boss gets harder by making the arena smaller every phase, but I think in the last phase the lasers are a bit too hard to dodge. And maybe it would be nice if the boss needed a bit less hits every phase, so it doesn't take so long.

Good job! That felt like a proper boss battle! I enjoyed how the boss changes things up and has a set of patterns that becomes learnable by the player. Really well done!

everything felt nice, the graphics, music, art and especially the boss fight was very satisfying and well made to a crazy high level
my only issue is when you drop into the lava, it is almost impossible to get back up. I was only able to back to the floor once out of maybe a dozen attempts where I fell into the lava. It was very frustrating when I reach the last phase when there's little room and a fist pushes me outside because I couldn't get back up
I think you could have made at least climbing the wall easier since it's not integral to the boss fight. I did jump on top of the boss hand a lot but that didn't feel like it used the same mechanic as stabbing the wall and dropping
Aside from this I really enjoyed it, it's by no means easy especially since you have to learn the game as you fight the boss, there wasn't much prior training on the game mechanics.

With walls the player would stab the wall with the picxkaxe and slowly drop down. I tried slowly jumping backup, quickly bashing the jump button, etc..
Ahh I see, There is actually a hidden mechanic so that during the jump, you can release the jump key to drop down faster. it's actually pretty common thing in platformer games. I guess i didn't explained well in the game. Thank you for the reply and the feedback!!
I really enjoyed this game! The boss took me quite a while to beat, but I guess the difficulty adds to the on the edge theme since you're always on the edge of your seat while playing this
This was a really neat game. I like the mechanics and the boss battle. I think you could have implemented a menu and a way to return to the menu after the boss, but it was fun to play. Nice work!

Neat little boss fight ! Really enjoyed it, perhaps a bit too hard for a jam game, maybe different difficulties could be interesting (doesn't have to be a lot, just with the option to have more lives or pickups that replenish your health), but other than that it was cool
