I really like this sort of game, and the jam didn't produce many like it. Shame that it's so buggy...

It's a pretty simple game, but that's not necessarily a bad thing in a jam context. If it wasn't for the bugs, it would be easy to just hop in, figure out how the game works, and try to save (part of) the world.

One thing I'm not sure if it's intentional or not: You don't seem to be able reassign people you've sent to collect wood. I'm curious what the reason for that is.

Nice little game, the sound is really relaxing and goes well with the game!

I was a bit confused at first, I think it would have been better to have a little tutorial in game too. Also sometimes I had a bit of trouble creating new villagers from tents.

The game ended with some major bugs. I almost didn't publish it.
I'm really glad to read those positive comments! Thank you =)

Your VimJam 2 game, Micro Climate, seems to have disappeared from itch.io. I don't know if that was intentional or what, but I wanted to let you know that it happened and that I had hoped to play it some more later. If there was some huge issue you couldn't fix, I get that, but...just seeing such a neat little game vanish into the ether, as if it had never existed, feels sad.

Thanks! Your comment made my day.

I wasn't satisfied with how Micro Climate turned out, so I left the page private. The game ended with some huge bugs that made it almost unplayable and I wouldn't have the willingness to fix it.

But actually, I think you're right about being a bad decision. The game finished at #8 in fun/design, after all! It has some potential, I hope.

Thank you so much for letting me know that someone out there wants to play it for fun, not just during the voting period.

You got me excited to continue the project! I'll take some time to fix the issues next week and let you know when you can get the full experience. =)

Even with all its bugs i absolutely loved it. Waited through the lag and beat the game! Art was simple and as a simple man it is my favorite kind of art! Well done and bonus points for using godot haha

Wow! Thank you!
That was my major frustration after finished it. I almost didn't publish the game.
It's really gratifying to see your screenshot! =)

fun game i like the idea although i was unsure of the theme and requirments

Thank you! =)
My goal was to put some dialog ballons from the workers, saying, "Right away, boss" after assigning them a task. And the "Edge" was on the extreme temperatures.

Really liked this, was calming and quick to pickup. Unsure how it fully fully relates to theme etc but it was still a nice game to play :D

Really fun game! loved this one! It did get a little laggy at points and there was that weird ui bug, but ignoring those i really enjoyed it, good work!

Unfortunately, the game ended with some major bugs that compromise the experience. read comments like yours really cheers me up =)

I played your game nearly an hour! Multiple times. Sadly at some point some kind of loop made the game crash when to much is going on. Also sometimes the builder indicator is stuck to your mouse. It is the only game i ever played that amount of time in a Jam. Scope is perfect, simple but keeps you up. I like it.

I was a little sad that I couldn't finish it without that major bugs

The art and music are wonderful here! The graphics feel very clean and responsive, however, it took me a while to understand how to play the game. Some of the icons, like the wood, were a little unclear to me, and I actually wasn't sure what resources were needed or how to get them immediately. I also only found out that some tiles were for replanting about halfway through the month.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I also ran into an issue where I got stuck with one of the person icons and couldn't deselect it or select anything else until I had enough to buy and place a tent.

All in all, I really like the idea and vibe of this! And I'm incredibly impressed by how it's a solo-dev game, and I would be interested in seeing a version of this with a more robust instructional section.

Thank you for your honest review.
Unfortunately the game came out with two major bugs: the first is that one, where you can't get more workers on some tents after a while, and after some time of playing the game gets lower frames and crashes.
I think the scope was bigger than I could do in a week, but it was a great experience! =)
I'm glad you liked the idea!
