The controls took a moment for me to understand, but once I started to get the hang of it I found this game actually extremely enjoyable. There are a couple of softlocks I ran into, which definitely was a little frustrating (first one I ran into was the water bucket thing wouldn't let me pick it up a second time and I threw it in front of the fire, so I was unable to move it again).

Seriously with some polish and more content I think this could gear up to be a really good small game! If you planned on working on it further, I would definitely look into giving it another try! Great game!

Neat mechanics and great art. Kinda tricky to understand at the beginning, but very fun!

Took me a while to understand that you can use space to pick up stuff. It was a bit fiddly and it seems like holding space and running into things works the best.

I like the concept of the game with heat or ice applied to objects change their behaviour. The visuals are also pretty nice, it's a cool little art style.

What I didn't like was the music, not that the music itself is bad but the loop did not loop properly, it just stopped for a moment and began again. And it was a bit glitchy or tricky do let the character or items do what you and unfortunately you can use the items the wrong way and then you are stuck. And in some room transitions you added blocks that the player can't see so unless a player jumps when leaving the screen in these cases it's hard to understand why you can't proceed. See image below:

That you tried to explain the game inside of the game with tutorial panels on the wall was pretty neat.

Overall a nice game that could use some more polishing but when you don't run into a soft lock it's fun to solve the puzzles. Good job!

Loved the creativity in this project. Sometimes I'd get stuck on the ground and certain objects but the tactile feel of playing this game is generally pretty satisfying. Great job!

Took a second to figure out the flow but then I got it.  Pretty cool game.  I like the graphics.  Sound FX were nice.

nice 8x8 graphics

Developer

Thanks A Ton! 8x8 is my favorite resolution to do pixel art in!

It was fun! I loved the freezing and heating mechanic. But it was difficult getting out of the first room because you had to jump over a block that you couldn't see. Also, I got stuck on the 3rd or 4th room because I pushed the cup against the wall. The graphics and sounds are really amazing though!

You can pick stuff up with space, i guess the tutorial wasn't clear enough!
