Hated this! ... since its so simple and still I constantly mess up :)

So a great game. Very clear directly how it works.  Levels are well made and i liked the music. Excellent work.

Developer

Thanks! I hope it wasn't too frustrating, though I can definitely see in hindsight how the wall bounces might be difficult for many players

Submitted

At least I don't mind it being frustrating as it didn't take long between retries. Its a bit the point of the game that it looks easy but it requires a touch of skill.

Developer

Yeah I definitely made that mistake in the last VimJam ... But yeah time between retries is a big thing for difficult games, so I just make it instant lol.

Amazing game! People are saying its quite hard and it is but, its a fun type of hard, not frustratingly hard, so if this was a full game there would probably be a few more levels in between to smooth out the difficulty. Again amazing game!

Developer

Thanks! I really tried to focus in on making fun mechanics for this game, so I'm glad that worked out!

Cool concept, absolutely hit the brief with regards to the theme and limitation. The level design was also excellent. It was a bit on the hard side for me personally and it would have been great to have seen some more animations on the main character but other than that I had a lot of fun playing. Great work!

Developer

Yeah the character was initially supposed to be temporary but then time caught up to me and…

Solid job in the end, the concept is clear. Had to untrain my brain from pressing the jump button to do a wall jump but got through it in the end.

Developer (1 edit)

The last level bug is kind of a bummer, but in the end it doesn't change much. I hope you enjoyed the game at least.

pretty great, the art could use some work and at times i feel like it was a bit too precise but other than that great game

Developer

Thanks! For the art, I just tried to make it pleasant to look at since I know it’s not gonna be great, and as for the difficulty, some people have said it’s fine others have said it’s too hard so idk lol.

Yes, I beat the game! Now I understand what you meant by "I don't like slow games" :)

Really good game, I liked that the level can be completed in different ways!  I need more levels !!

Developer(+1)

I should’ve made more levels I just procrastinated lol. It’s also just a jam game, and since I figured the game was gonna be pretty difficult, I didn’t want players to get fed up with it. But yeah I wanted it to be a mix of puzzle and skill so I thought the faster movement speed was fitting. Glad you liked it!

Yeah it is perfect!

Really fun and very well made!

Thanks!

great game, enjoyed it a lot. My only complaint is that i think the music's a bit too loud

Developer

Yeah, the default volume in unity is really loud for some reason, and I just didn't turn it down enough. Personally, I don't find it that much of a hassle to just temporarily turn your volume down, so if that's your only complaint, I'm pretty happy with that.

Solid job with the two-button restriction, and I think not being able to cross your own path was a creative take. Definitely a little on the tougher side, got stuck on one of the levels with two buttons! Had fun with it, and the music was solid and didn't get grating after playing for a while!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I can see how it might be somewhat difficult, but I hope it was fun at least.

For sure! Cheers on finishing the jam!

I really enjoyed the game, i dont think i have any complaints other then me just not being very great at video games and it being pretty tricky for me, i think the tutorial is a little "harsh" if you get what i mean just being a bunch of white text in all caps on a black background. I think it could have benefited from a more interactive tutorial.

Other then those the game played very well and was very enjoyable. The art and music were also rlly nice! with a few tweaks this could definitely be a bigger game!

Developer

Yeah the tutorial was definitely not my priority lol. I figured that the game was simple enough to play so the tutorial didn't matter too much. I'm glad you enjoyed the game though!
