This is fantastic. The graphics are such high quality and it feels really professional. The puzzle mechanics are super unique and really well done.
The music was a bit repetitive, but the ambient minecraft-cave-sounds-like background sfx were well done.
Very good concept, I'm glad to see you're pursuing this.
Thank you so much, I will definitely continue working on this game, I plan to release it on Steam when I finish it! Music is one of my first goals for improvement 😂
Very nice looking game and smart use of the checkpoints. Also the controls. So simple and good adherence to the theme and modifiers.
Thank you very much !
WOW. Wow wow wow. You killed it. It’s got everything - except a kickin soundtrack. Gotta knock it for that, but I gave 5 on everything else. Zero complaints. Ran great, loved the transitions, everything was nailed perfectly.
Thank you soooo much! I'm so glad to hear this! Absolutely agree about the music, I added it 2 days before the deadline and just imagine how my head was racked by it 😂 I didn’t have time to find something better because I was trying to polish everything else, but it’s a good lesson for future jams!
Thanks again!
Really good game. Dont exactly know how this fits the Cross Paths Theme XD but it was a very clever Design to make a puzzle game around Checkpoints. Well done!
Thank you, there are Intersecting Dimensions of two characters, one character influences the other, their paths cross :)
This theme and focus application was sooo neat, congrats!!!! Game may look simple at first, and sounds are a bit repetitive, but it's so clever, very well designed. The (last?) puzzle was very difficult tho xD fun to play!
Thank you very much! I actually designed 3 more levels (now there are 7 plus a tutorial, the last one with portals), but I didn't have enough time to complete them, they should have been more difficult and had all the interactive things :)
Really neat game, the music is a bop, the art is vibrant and the controls are very intuitive! Good Job!
Thank you !
Wow! This game is almost a released game. I really enjoined the art and music of the game and the concept is really smart and clever!
Well done!
Ooo thank you so much! :)
Funny and clever. After a time the audio started to grate on me but it's a minor thing. It was well put together and interesting. Great job.
Thank you, glad you liked it !
The art for this title really sets it apart. Love the puzzle mechanics, and solving them felt really satisfying. The camera controller is also really solid, tho not being able to see both characters was sometimes a little mind bending. I would also love to hear a different song in the background, the current one got a little repetitive by the 5th or 6th level. Overall a super solid entry to the jam, congrats!
Thank you so mush!
It's a really cool concept, and overall it's executed really well, but as with any jam game, I have a couple complaints:
1) I thought the pacing was a little slow. To be fair, I usually don't like games as much where you have to wait for a slower character to move, but maybe increasing the movement speed by just a little bit could make it a lot better.
2) This is the main one, when you place a checkpoint, it seems like the player always goes in the same direction after respawning. I feel like the direction should be based on what direction the player is going when they die. That would not only be much more intuitive, but it will also make it easier to develop more interesting puzzles, since you could use that as another challenge for the player.
Other than that though, it was a really cool game. The sfx and music were really nice, I thought the art was done well and the core gameplay was interesting and well polished.
(Also if you could play my game as well I'd appreciate it)
Thank you so much for your feedback, it will help make the game better as I plan to continue working on it after the jam. I slowed down the pace because some of my testers couldn't react fast enough, but I think the speed button would be really useful. And direction after death is a good idea, though I didn’t think about it, thanks!
Yeah no problem, that’s why you have playtesters. Never know what might come up
Really cool game, and a very unique concept! I love it! I only wish I was able to speed up the character's movement, so there will be less waiting. Also, the music got slightly annoying at some point but it was quite simple to just mute that.
Yes, I agree, speed up would be great, and the music... There was no time to make it better, but I really wanted to. Thank you very much for your feedback, I’ll do everything after the jam!
Nice puzzle game, with some unique view on limitations.
Thank you!!!
Cool puzzle, but at some times I didn't understand how checkpoints placement work
Thank you for a feedback! At the beginnig I tried to make simple levels for a little practice because it would be difficult to explain this system to players. There is a 3D control point that copies the Y coordinate (vertical axes) of the active character and the X or Z coordinate (horizontal axes) (depending on the active player) of the active character (other horizontal axes of the inactive player will not be copied). And everything else works simpler, the checkpoint of one character and the checkpoint of another character will be a projection of the 3d checkpoint on their axis.
Like I said, it's hard to explain and I'm open to any ideas :)
The puzzles and visual style are very cool and nicely designed/implemented.
I feel like the limitation to 2 input buttons hindered the gameplay experience, as it would have been more intuitive to click between the yellow guys, and perhaps have an option to speed up.
Still a very cool idea, and very nice implementation of the 2-button limitation!
Thanks, I was thinking about adding more buttons to this game, but I wanted to implement at least one diversifier. And what’s cool is that some ideas only came to me after I decided to limit myself.
And yes, there will definitely be more buttons in the future, I want to finish this game after the jam :)
This hurt my head in a very fun way. Only mechanic I wasn't super clear on was how each guy turned around, and I initially assumed I was softlocked on lvl 2
Thank you for a feedback!
Guys turning around at the same time, when one of them touch a wall, I should make a clearer tutorial for that mechanic 😁
The game looks, plays and sounds great. Nailed the theme and you even got one of the diversifiers in. It was fun racking my brain and working through the levels, great work.
Thank you so much, I'm happy you liked it!
I will definitely work on this game after jam, aim to publish it on steam. You can follow my itch.io account, I'll post my social media and more info there soon 😉!
The implementation of both Crossed Paths and Checkpoints is super cool. Liked the aesthetic a lot too. Bit confusing at first tho.
Everyone is confused at first, you are not alone 😂
Thank you so much!
I'll continue working on the game after jam, I'll try to make it a bit less confusing 😅!
Really confusing both visually and gameplay wise... But in a good way somehow :D
Thank you! I've tried my best LOL!
Struggled a little to know what was going on, but a cool idea!
Thank you !
