Fitting music, a very charming artstyle (with some fancy little lighting to boot!) and a fun concept. I did feel on some of the levels that damage wasn't really avoidable and sometimes the ghosts would spawn and instantly deal damage to me. Maybe it could be avoided and i'm just bad (very plausible) but even when plotting out a route of escape it felt damn near impossible to not take damage and i just budgeted my health for the level. It doesn't feel entirely fair, but the dashing and platforming part of it felt good! Being ya'll first entry ever is cool, besides the pain points i mentioned, it was a neat little game. Looking forward to seeing how you develop this one further. Good luck and great work :)
I really liked the game. Very nice graphics and obvious gameplay even if it took me a while to figure out that I could dash multiple times in the air.. (no, I don't play a lot of platformers :)) .
I would vary the soundtrack a little more. Else its very good.. And stressful that the ghosts follow your moves...
To be honest, being able to dash multiple times in the air is a bug XD. However, we decided to leave it in because we figured not many people would figure it out, and it was fun to do if you wanted to. And yeah some music variety would be nice. Glad you enjoyed it though!
Cool game! I love these style of celeste games where you get mad at the enemies as if I didn't put myself in that very situation LOL. The lives felt fair and I like that there seems to be an extra challenge if you no hit. Great work!
Great game! Love the idea :p
There were a couple of times I thought I dashed into a button and it didn't press it, but other than that, great job!
Nice game, with a good concept.
The menu could use WASD instead of mouse for simplicity.
The platform are not enough contrasted (perhaps due to lighting), so it's not easy enough to see what is an obstacle or not.
The button can be actioned if we are too close.
Would be better if jump and dash button where close together on the keyboard.
It could be great to use button that are only activated by ghost, zone where ghost are blocked, etc...
The music and graphics are ok, you play well with the lighting,
The controls are ok too.
Overall that was fun to play.
Great game! I loved the graphics and it had just the right challenge to keep me playing. Nice job! :)
Very cool game ! I liked the concept & the visuals.
Tiny feedbacks :
It would be a good thing to be able to access the next level without having to use the mouse to click the button, since the mouse is not used anywhere else in the game.
Dashing to press the buttons is a very good idea but a bit fidgety. Several time I ended up being to close to a button before dashing and then button didn't press. making it so you can dash on the button even if youre standing right next to it would probably feel less punitive.
Apart from that, It's a really good game. Great job :)
I completely agree with both of your feedback points. The buttons are for sure my biggest gripe with the game, but it was something that we ran out of time to fix fully. And yeah I think you should be able to use the menus without the mouse as well, it was also something I thought of too late. Thanks for the feedback!
Nice little platformer. I liked the enemies following your path, made for some fun things to think about it.
Good luck with the jam!
