Interesting idea I can see this being really cool if the islands were themed and highly varied snapshots of other worlds.

Excellent game. Love the idea and the graphics. On the 'tent' planet I jumped off one section and kept falling! It would be great if you could revisit the game after the Jam to clarify the instructions and fix any issues.

Developer

Yea if you jump off the corners is a specific spot it wont teleport you. I needed to fix it but ran out of time. I think I will spend a day fixing bugs and and work on the story a little more.

I absolutely loved the shrinking items!! Such a unique mechanic! Haven’t seen any other takes like this! So well executed too! Felt like a superpower <3

If you find some time this weekend, please check out our game “Starship Minis” and leave a comment to let us know what you think! https://itch.io/jam/vr-jam-2021/rate/1145490

I couldn't really figure out what I had to do. I fell off one platform and landed on the other, but then falling off that platform to go back, I just fell to infinity. Reading the synopsis, I knew I had to build something but I couldn't quite figure out how... The graphics were lovely though, I think it just needs some tutorial pop ups throughout the map to explain some of the mechanics and what to do.

Hey kikutouchichi yea it was my first game jam and spent a little to much time on the graphics and should have focused more on the story. You have to find the 10 components to build a machine on the center island and this triggers the ending. But thank you so much for playing and trying it out! I love the feedback.

I was really gripped by the tiny floating island, the graphics were lovely, even down to the detail of the small floating butterflies. I also loved the second part of the level where everything seemed broken, and skeletons were scattered about.

But I have to say I was really lost with what to do. I could make things get bigger and smaller (but I didn't feel like I had control) and fall off the islands onto other ones, but it all felt a little incongruous and unintuitive. And with that the player speed was way too fast for my stomach, haha.

A nice, flashy start though!

CinemaLeo I am glad you liked the look I spent a lot of time working on the ascetics. If you read this comment keep trying to jump of the islands their is many more than just two! Sorry for the speed I forgot to it back down after testing. Thank you so much for playing!

When you grab the instruction bar, controlling the player becomes really wanky, but graphics is nice!

Very nice graphics !
Had a little bit of trouble understanding the gameplay and I think than the player go a little bit too fast. Still a lot of fun!

Thanks for the feedback! Yea I turned it way up for playtesting and just got used to it. I had my family play and they said the same thing.

I had trouble getting this running. It would launch into SteamVR, but my controllers wouldn't track. Did anyone have similar issues?

Developer

I have not tried it in SteamVR yet I can try later today and see if I have the same problem

same here :/ tried with both HTC Vive and Valve index and my controllers wouldn't register :( if there is any news on how to solve the issue let us know! I really want to try it, looks very pretty :)
