Such a wonderfully weird, yet enticing game. My exploration side took over a little and I started trying to climb on things and trying to throw a ball through the hoop (I wasn't successful). I like that you've given the world some depth with the lore, and I think the way that delivering through the computers and clipboards means that some stuff can get missed (but I feel the same with Boneworks & Lab). Saying that though, the interactions, objects and labels for the various meats around the facility paint their own picture that I think is really interesting. I especially like having to plug the socket in to get a meatball every time - silly but feels just right. I could totally see how this could roll out into a wider game narrative too.
super thoughtful response. I really appreciate that. Yeah I thought if people could spam that button that gives them a fleshball it could get bad on performance, and having it somehow eject the plug was funny to me.
I also couldn't quite get a ball through the hoop, but I didn't have time to tune anything for that.
funni pun
I must've played this the longest from all of these games. I've rated nearly all of them. I was unable to figure out if there really was a goal, but I still had a lot of fun!
The Gravitation Sucker-Blower was super cool. I found myself walking around and sucking up objects for fun.
Thanks! Super happy it worked as well as it did. I basically just modified Hurricane/Hexabody's wall-suction cups, and the more I did, the more it became a gravity gun.
The cool style reminds me of StanleyParable and Acounting+. Only this one is better because it got cables!
Yeah the humor on those games is exactly what I gravitate towards. Cable system is a slightly modded version of this: https://www.patreon.com/posts/wirebuilder-1-0-77014259
I also was confused as what to do at first and I was trying to walk around or through the settings window and about to give up, and then I turned around and was like, "OH! That's where I gotta go!" Now that I read the store page, I see it's a meat playground. I did play with the sucker thing a lot though! Imagine if you did hook up ChatGPT and told it to pretend it was CHATBBQ and you could ask it questions about the meat packing space, that would be quite fun! I enjoyed the interactivity, I didn't read all the text as it was quite long and I thought I had to accomplish some kind of goal but all the interactivity is there to build upon for a fun game!
Thanks for playing! Yes, I actually did use ChatGPT to give me some of the ChatBBQ text, but heavily human-modified by me. I enjoy the idea of fine-tuning advanced LLMs for nonsensical tasks. Yes there is a fair bit of text to read, but that is a significant part of what this project is. That lore text, plus the Gravitation Sucker-Blower. :) I really wanted that to work well, plus I wanted the wire physics which barely made it in there, and a ton of good quality collision sounds which pretty much got in there, which adds to the immersion needed for a physics based controller. Thanks again for playing and for the feedback. I appreciate it.
I'm a little confused on what to do. But it was fun exploring and the gravity gun is pretty cool. Interesting lore on the commodore 64.
yeah there's no start and finish gameplay loop it's just free roam explore. Listed that on the page but should've put it in the beginning.
