the game concept is fun, i dont know if it was just for me or for everyone else, but when i fell off the ropes i was down at ground level with no way to reset except quitting the game and reloading it, i would have played it longer and completed both ropes if it wasnt for this ... also the in game camera locks up when i bring up the meta menu VERY jarring :D
I want to start with congratulating you on uploading your Jam Game. The game opened for me, and I was able to play it something I feared and came close to not being possible with my submission. During my play I was in the ground even after quitting out the application and resetting my view. I got a little motion sick playing due to this bug. I know it had to be rough because I have a decent set of VR legs with my first experiences coming from working in a VR arcade. The obstacles weren't spawning on the tight rope most of the time. I'm not sure if that was meant to be there or was a bug I don't want to assume and jump to conclusions. I will say that I do see the vision of the game and like where it could go. With more time, I believe this would be one of the best experiences.
Worked ok for me. I used to APK rather than the PC version, so perhaps it's slightly different?
I managed to complete both wires, it didn't seem too tricky though, just pushing forward on the joystick seemed to work fine. The climbing ladders worked well too and was good there were handles at the top.
It did feel like it needed some kind of win acknowledgement or something - perhaps a start menu too, just to make it feel like a game rather than just a scene.
There were a couple of rendering things that we quite jarring - firstly, there was no antialiasing, so the pixels flashed a lot at a distance. Secondly, the shadows were really low resolution causing big black vibrating blocks on the surfaces.
Still, a good idea. I felt it could be made a bit more tricky and definitely needed some kind of end game, or score to give the player an incentive.
The game opens in the form of a VR simulator. Maybe you have to turn off the sim before build. But now I see the comment from Beard or Die and it looks like he played it so maybe there is something wrong with my station.
Unfortunately it was quite bugged for me. I spawned at ground level, fell through the map. The rotation of the camera was crazy inverted. I did manage to crawl my way across the line and use the balance bar to disappear the incoming primitives, but once I reached the ladder there was nothing I could do.
