What assets did you use in this project?
Besides the typical Unity Dev tools? I mean, XR Toolkit and TextMeshPro, etc. of course.

Um, but I think you mean from the asset store.
Sci-Fi Construction Kit (Modular) for the environment you stand in, but I just built the game in the demo scene and slightly modified a 'cart' prop prefab.

Ball Pack for the nuclear decay particles. I made my own material for the model though. VR with Andrew taught me fun customizations like that can really make things your own ;)

Game loads for me but alas no controllers. Make sure you’ve selected all the platforms and profiles you want to support in the OpenXR settings:

  • Project Settings > XR Plugin Management (pick platforms and plugin providers), and
  • Project Settings > XR Plugin Management > OpenXR (Interaction Profiles section)

I’m on WMR and HP G2, for reference, which has a special plugin you have to install for full support, but I think should get basic support with the Microsoft Motion Controller interaction profile

Thank you everybody who tried!

but Awww! All these comments are so disappointing :( lol.

I develop on a Gen 1 Vive so I couldn't test on anything else, but that's probably not the problem.

My guess is it's overtaxing the system.  I have an object pool of gameobjects that might be allocating too much memory. I'm sure there's a more performant variable to use. That pool is enabling 10 particles every 0.1 seconds.

I did reign it in to where I could play it. My video card is a RTX 3080 and I have 32GB RAM. Not flexing, I just have no frame of reference for thy typical machine. If someone has a machine that they feel should be able to run it, LMK. I imagine it's more likely me being an inefficient noob than OpenXR not handling a different platform.

Thanks again, Everybody!

I like the reference to the historical demon core!

Unfortunately I could not run the game. Let me know if you fix it 🙏

Also experienced a crash on startup, Quest 2 w/ link cable.

Crashes on launch, using Oculus Rift S. But from the description, the concept sounds cool!

When I launched it, it just crashed. Maybe it's an openXR bug?

I am using Oculus w/ oculus Link

For Science!  I could not get my Valve Index controllers or Quest 2 controllers to work (I tried to edit bindings via Steam VR, to no avail).  But I really like the visuals and the idea.  Sometimes a simple gameplay mechanic is fun when it is well-executed, and this looks great!
