I like how you used the shadowdark map tools to flesh out the city districts.

What a wonderful idea! It offers plenty of inspiration and frameworks to build upon. I love how it gives readers the space to make it their own. The map is excellent, and the starting town is charming.

Developer

Thank you so much! GMs are going to make it their own, rarely are they given the encouragement directly to do what their heart's desire.
I am so glad you like the village <3

Love that this is a Campaign seed.  Could definitely see expanding on this over time.

Doing this in the 8 page format does make it a limited scope that certainly grow up a few more pages to flush it out further. I am thinking about a way to work Gauntlets into a similar product.

I love a good 5-room dungeon design.

Developer

Everything is a 5-room dungeon. :)

It took me a while to figure out how that cover was the inspiration for the town map but when it clicked I was like "ahhhh". It does look like there was meant to be a title or name in the blank banner however. I also noticed a column on page 5 that looks like it got cut off so we missed a line of text.

I felt a lot of the references to the Weird Tales submissions were nice and cheeky but not sure how core they really were to the overall product. This is a nice base of operations for a hex crawl game with all the starting amenities you would like. I personally would have liked some more possible overland encounters detailed but I understand the horrors of page count.

Developer

The references are incorporated throughout the product to illustrate how a GM can bring pop influences to a game.  I did update page 5 in a 1.0.1 release, thank you! I appreciate the feedback!

It's difficult to rate the inspiration when I don't know what the covers are without looking them up.

Valid. I've added them to the product page screen shots! Thank you!

Product page is the way to go. Good job overall on this.
